Chapter 5

It was the second sunrise after Feathertail had red eyes. Sparklepaw was washing her fur as Crazystar came over. "Sparklepaw would you come to the Gathering?" Sparklepaw widened her eyes "S- sure Crazystar!" Crazystar's eyes got gentle "Okay good you may go tell Silverpaw then take a quick nap, we will be gone for a while." The moment Crazystar finished Sparklepaw raced off. She found Silverpaw sharing fresh-kill with Duskpaw. "Silverpaw! We're going to the Gathering!" Silverpaw jumped up and ran over to Sparklepaw leaving Duskpaw wide eyed and behind her. "I can't wait!" Sparklepaw exclaimed.

Crazystar led her clan across to the island where the Gathering was held. Silver paw was bouncing across the tree almost slipping on the smooth bark. All of a sudden Sparklepaw felt a paw jab in her side as she was crossing the tree. "Ayii!" Sparklepaw cried as she fell into the freezing and strong current river. "Help! Hel-" she got dunked under and in the darkness Sparklepaw heard evil laughing in the distance. As she surfaced she heard Stonepaw yowling and him jumping into the water. "Stonepaw don-" Sparklepaw chocked as she got pulled under the surface again. Then she felt herself being pulled by the scruff to the shore. as she felt dry land she shakily stood and coughed up many mouthfuls of water before looking at the one that saved her. As Sparklepaw lifted her head she wasn't surprised to see Stonepaw sitting and watching her with gentle eyes. behind him she saw Crazystar but the rest of Thunderclan was gone. "W-Where is everyone?" She whispered. Stonepaw answered before Crazystar had a chance, "They went ahead but I stayed here and Crazystar did to." As he was talking Crazystar left looking kinda sad as she left us. "Lets go the meeting might start." Sparklepaw mumbled. Stonepaw just smiled and put his tail on her shoulder to guide her 'Stonepaw just risked his life saving me' Sparklepaw thought 'Please Starclan don't let him be next...'
