Chapter 35

*Amanda's pov*

Rising! Falling! 

Rising........   Falling........

Rising and falling!

The faint sound of beating lulled my mind into a far away dreamland as hot breathing warmed my forehead. My own breathing matched with the pattern of rising and falling beneath my cheek as my head also raised and fell with it. So comforting! 

"Amy!"

"AMY!"

"AMANDA!"

"KIM EUN AE!" I jolted up from my deep slumber as my father's voice echoed in the mind link. In that moment of haze, something next to me stirred as soon it was followed by a hand that wrapped around my waist trying to pull me back to the laying position. Sparkles erupted all over my body as that familiar scent of forest and rain invaded my nostrils.

What the heck!

I mentally screeched when I saw the peaceful sleeping figure of my mate, laying right next to me. In my bed. In my pillow using the same duvet of mine to cover his body. My heart start to race when I came to the realization of that all this time I have been laying on his chest enjoying his heart beat and the breathing. Creepy!

'What did you do Milena?' I hissed at my wolf knowing fully well that this is her doing.

'He came to apologize last night and come on you can't blame me. Who can kick him out of the room when he is staring at me with those big doe puppy eyes?' She cooed in my mind picturing our mate's innocent face with those puppy eyes. A chuckle threatened to escape from my mouth at those words, but I pushed it back as I turn to look at his angelic face. He really looks like a adorable baby when he is sleeping. 

"Amy come down right now! There is a rouge scent in the pack border!" My father's voice rang in the mind link interrupting my thoughts, knocking me out of the daze state I was. That's all took me to bolted up from my bed and dashed down stair in full speed. The first thing I realized when I walked out of the pack house main door that it's dawn. And the second thing was that everything is a chaos. Our warriors were running here and there outside the pack house in a panic state. My dad was standing in the middle shouting orders at everyone. The pack mind link is a total mess as everyone linked here and there in a hurry. elders were pulling away the young lads into a safe place while others helped with the warriors to track down the scent of trespassing rouge or maybe rouges.

I could feel the insecure horrible emotions of my pack members from the pack link as the images of last rouges invade and loosing of my warriors replayed in my mind. I know they are reminding the same and fearing they would join the same fate as those warriors that became a prey to those ruthless monsters. And as the future alpha it's my responsibility to make them feel safe and secured. Specially in the presence of king, I should prove that even though I am a female, I am no lacking than a male alpha to lead this pack as their leader.

"Amy!" My father's voice snapped me back to the reality as I took long strides towards him stopping right in front of him with a determined look. "I am going to help with the king and the search party to track down the rouges. You have to handle things here okay?" He questioned with hopeful eyes, squeezing my shoulders, silently encouraging me. I wanted to argue and tell that I want to help to. To find those rouges and shred them into pieces for daring to enter my territory. But I also know better than anyone else to follow his orders when it needed. Specially I wouldn't have to worry about the fate of those rouges when the king himself is involved in the mission of getting rid of them.  I mentally smirked pitying those mutts as I pushed back the blood lust of my wolf and nodded my head at him, accepting his order. Just as I was about to turn around he grabbed my shoulder gaining my attention once again. "And Taehyung!" At the mention of his name, my father's face became more serious than it was. "You have to keep him safe at any cost. All our lives lay on your hand!" Well that single statement filled horror in my mind. I recalled the story of how insane the most powerful man in this earth went when my mate's mother got hurt. If something like that happened to my mate............. Goddess know what our fates would be.
