*Amanda's pov*

The tall walls painted in ravishing dark colors looked more radiating, making the usual dark path more bright. The normal glaring guards standing on the way looked like they are wearing a grin on their faces. How couldn't they lighten up when they saw a certain little girl running down the hallway with a single red rose, looking so messy yet hyped to see her favorite person. Her long brown curls bounced on her back as she skipped on her steps to reach a certain room faster, wanting to be the first one that certain person would see early in the morning. The loud sounds of her tiny feet alerted the whole palace giving away her excitement and making them stay away from disturbing her. A pure smile that as clear as water never wavered from her face making her look like a adorable little kitten just the way he sees him as.

"Knock! Knock!" She called cutely holding back a giggle as she stood in front of big closed double doors, without bothering to knock actually. It's not like she didn't wanted to open the door and just walk in like usual. She was scared to drop the rose she picked herself carefully from the garden after lot of trouble, specially for him in attempt to open those heavy doors!

"AMY.....!" Her favorite voice beamed from inside widening her smile. "Come in!" He called eagerly wanting to his best friend first thing in the morning.

"No! Open the door tiger!" She refused standing behind those doors holding tight her red rose. Soon after she heard shuffling inside and footsteps getting closer making her happy as the boy followed her request without objecting or complaining. How couldn't he when this girl mean everything to him even he himself didn't realize it yet. The doors opened revealing a handsome little boy in his pajama with a bright boxy smile.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIGER" She beamed with the biggest grin offering the flower with the root innocently. The boy's eyes crinkled with a fond adoring look, understanding from a single look at the messy girl, what trouble she went to pick that flower for him.  Instead of accepting the flower he pulled her into a tight embrace sandwiching the flower between them.

"My flower!" The girl screech still not making a move to pull back as she felt right and belonged in his embrace. He pulled back with a smile before snatching the flower and quickly pecking her cheek catching her by surprise. The boy smile innocently seeing her cheeks turning red as the sight along satisfied him.

"Tell me! Tell me! Tell me tiger!" She jumped up and down shaking his hand. "What is your birthday wish?" She questioned excitedly  making the said boy to ponder on it. But it didn't get him long to realize what he wants.

"I want us to be mates!" He said proudly not realizing the weight of those words.

"We are s too small!" The girl replied back with a pout melting him as he realized she too is eager to be his mate.

"I am six now!" He answered back proudly, puffing out his non-existing board chest. "I can decide who I want. Mates don't leave each others. I want you to be with me forever." He said looking down at the girl one year younger than him.

"Idiot!" She giggled wrapping both her tiny hands around his waist, resting her head on his chest. "I will never leave you tiger." She promised not knowing what the future holds for them.

"Forever together!" He stated, hugging her back. If only they knew it would be the last day they would see each other like that and hug like that.

The image of them hugging each others happily, those innocent grins, the warmth that radiated from them slowly started to fade away. Darkness started to surround like a nightmare. That melting soft feeling started to get blur weighting the empty space with a unbearable pain.
