Outside the Walls. Chapter 5.

"oh fuck" Jean hissed as they unit all sat on their horses waiting for the ride out order by the commander. "we fucking dead" Connie whimpered making the others who already scared to death more scared. "calm down everyone, we faced them once already and the other soldiers told us that we been placed in the safer parts" Marco said trying to calm them all down but was freaking out himself. "why did i agree to Join the Survey Corps, this is crazy" Sasha said shaking. 

"mikasa" Levi called as he was past the soldiers to make sure everyone was ready and noticed her small group on the left. 

"Levi" Mikasa said turning to him and Armin just smiled at the two. 

"how is it looking this end" Levi asked since all the newbies was placed near the back to try and keep them clam. 

"how the front doing" Mikasa said not sure how to answer and Levi turned to the shaking newbies and nodded in understanding. 

"well the front all ready to kill some titan ass unlike the newbies i see, well i guess i be saving more then you" Levi smirked. 

"in your dreams maybe" Mikasa smirked back. 

"if only you showed up in my dreams" Levi joked and started riding again since he was placed near the front. 

"man up" Mikasa sighed as she turned to all the newbies who was still shaking. 

"so you and the captain" Armin grinned next to mikasa, he was scared like the rest but knew he had to be calm. 

"dont" Mikasa warned. 

"Armin stay close to me, i keep an eye on you when it gets tough" Eren said with a grin and soon the commander raised his arm to ride out. 

Mikasa looked to the sky as they left the gates and felt more free then she ever did before. Yes she knew they were still in the other walls but these grounds were taken by titans not humans. She could just lose herself in fighting and not have to worry and protecting others under her. She could just fly. 

Soon they all went into their petitions and got ready to do their jobs outside the walls. 

"titan" Connie yelled as a titan was coming from behind them. "how the hell do we have titans, what happened to the team defending us behind" Sasha yelled with worry and Mikasa noticed  the titan sucking on a soldier leg but thought it be best not to say anything. 

"what do we do, we dont have anything to hock onto apart from the titan himself but we risk being eaten" Marco said with worry and mikasa was already slowing down her horse to hook on the titan as he got closer. "what are you doing, we need to stay in form" Eren yelled and he noticed Mikasa was already far behind them with the titan nearly on top of her. Soon mikasa used her ODM gear and slashed at the titan nape making it fall and start steaming. 

"nice kill mikasa, now should we expect more or not" Armin said with a kind smile as mikasa caught back up to the group. "i dont think we have anyone behind us anymore, we needed to let the others know they been wipe out" Mikasa whisper and Armin nodded before sending a flair up. 

The mission wasn't going well anywhere. Levi no longer had a fix spot since he was kept being ordered to help didnt groups who couldn't handle the titans. He lost his squad somewhere since he had to split them up to send them to different areas. 

Levi knew more would die unless Erwin sent up the gather flair before telling them to retreat but he also knew Erwin wasn't planning on retreating yet. No one was in the spots they should be anymore since to many titans showed up and they groups was ridding different ways to go around them. Heck no one knew if anyone was alive anymore since no more flairs was sent up. What made things worse was that Levi was nearly out of gas and blades before he killed and fought so many titans in the last four hours.

He noticed a certain red scarf in the air and saw a titan fall to the ground not far from where he was riding. He knew he should keep looking for other soldiers who needed help but thought it be best to join up with a group that could still fight meaning he could save the little gas he had left. He soon saw the group of newbies making him less excited to work with them but a smile soon formed when he saw the girl with the red scarf riding to catch up with the group after killing another titan. He didnt even notice he was riding fast towards her and soon the girl turned to see him, a small smile formed on her lips as the got closer.

"Levi" Mikasa smiled as he reached the group but mostly stopped beside her.

"nice moves" Levi smirked as he watched her kill the titan, she was just perfect in the air.

"captain Levi, shouldn't you be at the front with the commander" Marco asked with worry since out of all soldiers they should see, Levi shouldn't be anyone of them.

"many groups are being outnumbered and i was sent to help them but everyone too far apart and just mess all around inside the walls, i got no clue where anyone is or should be" Levi sighed making the others worry more.

"its that bad, no wonder we didnt see anyone else yet" Jean said with a frown.

"i knew it, we all going to die" Connie yelled and started speaking his angry Spanish.

"calm down, we not going to die unless you keep getting on my last nerve" mikasa warned and everyone shiver by her glare.

"how your gas, have anyone else killed a titan yet" Levi asked mikasa before turning to the rest.

"we all taken one titan down each but mikasa been dealing with the titans most since he all been getting too nervous and it took us all two goes at slicing a titan nape before we killed it" Armin said with a worried smile and Levi nodded. He knew newbies would struggled killing the first time outside of the walls but with how shit the mission was going he didnt need that right now.

"i dont have much gas and I'm guessing you dont either" Mikasa replied and Levi nodded.

"why dont we swap our gas and swords, we can all give a little" Eren said with a small nervous smile. 

"that would work, lets stop by that tree, it give us a little cover" Levi sighed and they all started riding over to it. 

"your hurt" Mikasa said with a hint of worry in her voice and she noticed a cut in Levi leg. 

"i didnt even noticed, must have been from when i caught the falling soldier from before, he was just letting his blades swing all over the fucking place" Levi hissed and Mikasa eyes sadden. 

"you need to be careful" Mikasa sighed and pulled a bandage out of her bag that was on her horse. 

"i be fine, keep that for someone who need it" Levi said in a low voice. 

"you do need it, we dont need humanity hope getting sick from infections" Mikasa giggled and Levi couldn't help but smile at her as she wrapped his thigh. 

"dont forget to kiss is better mikasa" Armin giggled as he watched why the others just took a small break to catch their breath. 

"wanna get eaten by a titan" Levi warned Armin who hid behind his own horse. 

"kiss it better" Mikasa hum and kissed the bandage after tying it making Levi blush and freezer why Armin burst out laughing. 

"you broke humanity hope" Armin laughed as he saw Levi face. 

"dose it feel better" Mikasa asked with a warm smile and Levi just nodded at her before she stood. 

"I'm glad" Mikasa hum and walked over to her horse to close the bag leaving Levi to think about what just happened.
