Red is the hate that flashes in fury
In the eyes of racists, homophobes, sexists,
Red is the anger that radiates in pain
From the souls of attackers, shooters,
Red is the sadness and pain that gnaws
At those who hurt others.Red is the burning, flashing fire
That's all consuming, overwhelming,
Tongues of scarlet, life and death.
Red is boiling, pumping blood,
An imprint of violence and terror,
A flowing, searing magenta.
Red is that perfect yet ruined revenge
That feels so good but tastes so bitter
Best served icy, a glowing ruby.Red is the joy that shines brightly
In the eyes of the caring, loving, accepting,
Red is the love that infectiously spreads
From those with open minds and hearts,
Red is the peace that flows, the river of true perfection
From the forgiving and kind.Red is a smile, laughter,
That takes over you, envelops you,
Neon and electric.
Red is a glimmering heart, as soft as velvet or satin,
A feeling of care, proud confidence, safety,
A deep maroon.
Red is the bright autumn leaves, the vibrant setting sun,
That screams true glory,
A delicate, salmon glow.Red is hate, anger, vengeance
Red is fire, blood, death
Red is love, peace, confidence
Red is a heart, a smile, natureRed is the colour of hurt
Red is the colour of happiness
Red is the colour of passion.
