I knew that

Percy had stayed up all night steering the ship again, so he was snoring logs in about five minutes after I sat down at the steering wheel. The girls started to take out sandwiches to eat as I stared at the map. It'd been a week and a half since the death eaters and Dementors had attacked, and we'd be arriving in Canada in half an hour or so. I looked out, and could make out a tiny bit of land. It's a good thing that Percy can manipulate the water and make the boat go faster, or else we'd have been on this boat for 5 or six months!

"Do you want a peanut butter and jam sandwich or a peanut butter and banana sandwich?" Sophie asked me.

"Peanut butter and banana please!" I answered. I ate my sandwich and stared at the glowing orange ball. It had been floating straight in front of the boat the whole entire time, so I could only assume that we were heading in the right direction. I looked down to pick up the next half of my sandwich, and when my head came up to stare at the thing it was gone! "Blimey! Where did it go!?" I yelled in confusion.

"Where'd what go?" Sophie asked.

"The glowing ball!" I explained.

"It's to your left." She pointed out.

"Right, uh, I knew that, hehe." I replied as the girls laughed.

I turned the boat left and the orange ball was re-centred at the middle of the boat. According to the map we were heading to New Brunswick. We'd be docking somewhere around there since there wasn't any more water between the USA and Canada. Ten more minutes until we'll be able to search for a port.

We found a dock just around Moncton. The glowing ball was pointing West, meaning that our destination wasn't here.

"So how do you reckon we travel now?" I asked.

"Since we're not going to be flying over the USA we could probably fly by plane." Percy said. We nodded.

"We're going West bound, so it could be in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Colum-"

"We get it, you know your geography." Percy interrupted me. I rolled my eyes.

"At least I'm being helpful." I snapped back.

"We don't want to over shoot by too much, because we don't have much money, in fact, how are we supposed to pay for a flight" Katniss asked. She had a good point.

"Well, there's one way, but technically it's forbidden." I started explaining about the Imperious curse, and how when cast you have control over the person you cast it on.

"So you could cast the spell on a flight agent to convince her to let us onto the plane?" Sophie asked. I nodded. "Then the spell has the same effect as my father's ability. He's a Mesmer, and can make people do anything he wants them to." She explained. I nodded.

"How are we gonna get to the airport?" Katniss asked. I walked up to one of the cars and took out my wand.

"Alohamora!" I exclaimed, pointing at the car door. It unlocked, and just before I stepped in Percy put his hand in front of me, blocking me from getting in.

"Okay Mr. I-drive-on-the-wrong-side-of-the-road, you aren't driving. I am." He said. I huffed, but had to agree that it'd be smarter for him to drive.

"Imperio." I whispered as we walked up to the agent. She nodded to me as I walked by. Percy, Katniss, Sophie and I decided to try Toronto, Ontario first, seeing as it's a very popular place. We took a seat in random spots on the plane, and waited for the plane to take off.

"Uh, ohhhh, ahhhhhh!" I heard Percy semi-scream in the back of the plane once we were airborne.

"Shhh! Sir, I have to ask you to calm down!" A flight attendant told him. He shut up for the rest of the ride. I ate some peanuts and looked out of the window A LOT, but mostly just stared at the seat in front of me.

Once we landed in the airport it took us a whole hour just to find our way out of there, then another hour to hijack a car and get out of the airport area. We grabbed dinner at a Subway and started to drive with the glowing ball once more. It ended up leading us around the 401-a HUGE highway that was SUPER busy- but we had to stop for the night at a motel.

Hopefully we'd find our friends tomorrow.

Authors note

So, I know that I said when I got back from cottage that I'd write lots, but I lied. I started this chapter, then I couldn't really get any inspiration to actually finish it, but since then there's been about five new readers, and the old ones have been asking for updates, and I just realized that this book almost has 600 views, so I thought that I'd finish the chapter. Hopefully the next one'll come soon, but no promises! Thanks for reading!
