Nico arrived in Paris, more precisely in the Catacombs of Paris, thanks to shadowtravel.
He got out, and went to the Luxembourg Gardens.
It would certainly please Demeter's children...
He sat on a bench, in an alley, staring at the garden, watching people passing by. He was rarely doing so, even though he liked it. It was like being a "normal" teen, not a demigod.
He suddenly spotted a girl next to the basin. A girl laughing at the sun, feet in the basin, playing like a child, though she looked as old as Nico. He would have definitely spent the entire afternoon watching her. If it weren't for the three monsters approaching her.
She didn't seem to see them, and left the basin to the alley in which he was.
If she can't see them, then why the monsters keep on following her?
He stood up, and followed them silently.
She walked until a small door, in a gloomy street of the city. No one was in it, and it seemed like no one actually lived there.
When he entered the street, Nico saw the young girl facing her enemies, with sardonic smile.
"So you want to kill me? "She said, while gauging them, "Well, you can try..."
"You won't be smiling anymore when we'll be drinking your blood."
She smiled wider.
She gave one a punch. A huge woosh came out, with smoke around her hand .Strangely, it disappeared.
The two others tried, and also failed.
Well, I didn't get to do anything.
He was about to go, when he heard.
"Were you here to help?"
The girl was wearing this ironic smile again.
"How nice of you." she laughed.
"-I thought you were in danger, but obviously...you're a demigod.
-Harry, you're a wizard!
-What?
-What?"
She approached him.
"-And therefore, what can I do about it?
-Camp of Half-blood.
-Bless you.
-For Hades' sake! Listen to me!
-I'm listening."
He explained her the main things: she is a demigod, she is powerful, she needs to be in a safe place so monsters won't attack her every time she goes out, and Camp of Half-Blood can do that.
"-What about the family?
-Usually, your mortal parent knows that you are a demigod. So such a place should reassure them. Obviously, they need to be warned...
-...Allright. I'll come to your camp.
-We should go to your home, to warn...
-No need. I'm an orphan. My mother passed away from a cancer years ago."
Nico felt sad for her, but she didn't seem affected by her mother's death. Maybe self-defence in a way...
So they shadowtraveled back to the camp, where he introduced her to Chiron. While Nico telling him what happened, (Y/N) sneaked out the room only to bump into an unfriendly girl.
"-Hey! Watch out! Who do you think you are, to tackle people to the ground??
-Sorry miss, didn't mean to, WOAH THIS SPEAR IS AWESOME!!! Where did you get it?"
And she began fangirling over that electric spear. No need to say that everyone was quite surprised to see someone unafraid of Clarisse. More surprising, they seemed to get along.
She stayed at the Hermes cabin until her godly parent claimed her.
A month after her arrival, she wasn't claimed yet, and started wondering whether Nico had been honest with her. She began to hate him, for bringing her here, where she couldn't do what she wanted, or loved. Yes, she usually stayed with Clarisse, who trained her, but everyone else seemed to be a bit afraid of her (maybe for being friend with Clarisse...)
And came a day, during training, when all this hate exploded. During a duel with Nico.
He felt her quite distant with him thorough the month, but didn't knew why.
Except Chiron, Clarisse, Will , Nico and (y/n), no one was in the arena.
Both Chiron and Clarisse wanted to see how much she progressed, and Will came in case of Nico being injured.
They started fighting, and she became more and more violent, ready to hurt him.
She only had a dagger, but it was enough to make her dangerous.
"Hey, calm down (y/n)! It's just a duel, it's just training!"cried Nico
And then she exploded
"-YOU MADE ME COME HERE! YOU WANTED ME TO TRAIN? TO BECOOME STRONGER SO I DON4T GET KILLED BY MONSTERS??? THERE YOU GO !
-You are powerful; yes you needed to be train!
-What about my godly parent, hun? I haven't heard a word about them! DID YOU DARE LIE TO ME??
-I DIDN'T LIED!! I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!he shouted"
They became more, and more, violent, to a point where Clarisse began worrying. People became to gather in the arena, to watch the fight, quite afraid of what they were seeing.
"Chiron, we HAVE to stop them" she said, just when Nico made (y/n) drop her dagger, and he lift his sword to hit her (not to kill her, just to knock her out).
And (y/n) did the same thing that she did the last time.
Nico felt terror running through him, not knowing from where it came. It made him drop him weapon, and go to the ground.
A sign appeared above (Y/N)'s head: a spear surrounded by smoke.
Everyone kneeled befor her, even Nico ,with Will's help.
"Welcome to (Y/N) (L/N), daughter of Deimos."
~~~~~~~~~A few hours later~~~~~~~~~
(Y/n) entered the infirmary, and went to Nico who was in bed, still quit shocked. Will was next to him. They were discussing, and smiling. None noticed her.
"-Hey Nico...I..I own you some excuses...I'm sorry about what I said, about calling you a liar. I was really mad of the situation, but it wasn't your fault and yet I almost killed you...
-I perfectly understand, he cuts you. I forgive you. But don't EVER be in a duel against me. This was the most horrible thing I've ever experienced, your woosh..."
The three of you laughed.
