Inward Weeping

a man's tears on his wedding day
and the birth of the seeds
the marriage makes,
I truly understand now

never knowing a passion
that wasn't on a screen
or bursting through speakers
I never knew anything,

but an idea
of what love could be
the spectrum between similar beings
was a painting I had never seen

until you and I began
creating this masterpiece together

every stroke on this canvas
brought tears to my eyes
it was sunshine after a terrible storm
I am blinded by thoughts
of a person I never knew before,

now being the only soul I ever needed
I never shared life with anybody
and now I never want to spend a life
without my friend,

I cry from the thoughts of you
while writing of who you are in poem
if I never see you walking toward me
down the aisle in a wedding gown
I lived this life completely wrong.
