The crosses of the angels

My eyes felt heavy as I forced them open, a light blinded me, voices were nothing more than mutters to my ears until I heard my sisters. "Sk... Battle! Your wake!" Whenever we talk to each other outside of the gym, we call each other by what we were known for, for me, it was battling, Mya was weapons, Kya was known for culture, and Higha it's her organization skills.

"Ah, your awake Mis.Battle! My name is Dr.Fang. I would like to talk to you if you're okay with it." I gave a slight nod in agreement. "Very good, now then what do you remember?"

"A female Reploed, she called herself Lila, she was in slick jet black armour, and was based on a cat." I felt heavy I couldn't move. "Mind if I ask you a question, sir?"

"Go right ahead!"

"Why can't I move my body? And how bad is the damage, physical and costly?"

"Your sisters told me you had a tendency to get up when you get yourself patched up, as for the damage it's saver... your power core was barely working.... you will make a full recovery, however, it will take some time.... and the price... insurance will cover it."

"And if we don't have it?" Kya was right to ask that...

"Then your best bet is to contact the Manrick Hunters and report it then the government will pay for it..."

"Thanks, doc... when's the soonest I can get out of here?"

"Tonight." With that, he left the room and let us talk.

"I say we report her to them... it's our best and really our only choice..." High sat down in the chair as her head hit the wall gently.

"Fine... but who would go? I'm to renowned with what I use to do when they were alive..." I felt nothing throughout my body as my sisters continue to talk about a plan of action, in the end, Kya told the Manrivk Hunters about the attack and we didn't have to pay a zenim.

The next day

I got up and raised my arms past their limits above my head only to end up clutching my chest grim the pain that was still there. My sisters worked away at the mess that I had made of the boxing ring when I got tossed through the bottom of it. "Morning sibs!"

"Morning Sky!" They didn't look at me as the called back in sink.

"You need to get back in bed now! We'll fight you if we have to!" Kya wasn't happy about what I'd been doing... dispirit my injuries I still had to head out to find food for them... I barely eat, sleep, or do anything that doesn't involve keeping them safe, without them I have nothing.

"Fine I'll stay here, but I'm not heading back to my charging bed!" Something shiny cot my eye... I walked over to the object as Kaya began to lecture me. "Give me a minute will ya, there's something here..." I moved several bords out of the way, revealing an iron trap door on it was the words 'Only the three angles may show the fourth and final angle the way home'. "Mya, Higha, Kaya, get over here!"  They came over the broken boards to look at the words.

"The three angles and a fourth?" Mya looked at High as I rolled my eyes. 

"It means us, idiot! We're the four angles, Help me clear the rest of it off!" We moved the wood off, when the rest of the lightweight wood was off there were three keyholes that looked like crosses with wings, I ran my fingers over the one in the center gently. "Kay, do we still have the three crosses that our masters left us?"

"Of course! They're gifts from our mentors, the ones that showed you how to fight! I would never throw them out nor would I sell them! why?" She seemed offended at my asking.

"Go get them will you? I think they're more than just nice-looking neckless, cause we know they have no religious value, Mya, Higha I want you guys keep clearing the trap door off, I'm going to get a flashlight."  I got up to grab what I said I would, the younger two removed the last few boards, and Kaya brought down the three crosses that our last three mentors had left to us. I got down on my knees to place the three angle crosses in the proper holes only to hear a click after each on. When the final one was in a slot opened to show a fourth angle pined to another cross, The four of us turned the four angles to the right at the same time opening the way to a handle. "Son of a bitch... Kaya grab me my sword, who knows what's down there!" 

"Skya you can't fight! You're in no-"

"GO! GET! THEM! This could lead us to our next mentor the one our last one told us to find! unless you want to keep living like this!" She got up to grab my weapons as I opened the door to reveal stares down to a cold dark room, "Thanks," I grabbed my sword from Kaya as she came back. "Stay behind me! The three of you! Mya, hold the flashlight and point it in front of me so I can see." I started down the stairs into darkness, the light behind me, as I lead the descent to the unknown underground room. "My I thought I told you to have the light in front of me?" 

"Ya, sorry, I'm trying to get it to work,"

"Give me that!" Higha snacked the flashlight from Mya's hands so she could get it to work. "There, how's that Skya?"

"Much better, thanks. I think I see the bottom of the stairs, What the!?" I became surprised as there was more light coming from behind me then there should of.

"Relax I had a second and third light on me, here My hold this one it's already on so you shouldn't have a problem with it." Kaya handed the pink angle the light. A rat ran right by my foot, scaring the shit out of me. I swung at it, only to miss.

"I hate rats, spiders, and snakes!" I pointed my weapon at the rodent, Kaya gently made me lower it. I sighed as I walked down the dark hall. "Man, I wish there was some sort of light source down here..."

"I found a light switch." We glanced back at Mya as she pointed at the object on the wall. We all looked pissed at her. "What? I just found it as you started to say something." She when to turn it on only to get a nasty shock.

"Mya! Are you alright sis?" Higha gave her a hand up as Mya's synthetic hair stood on end.

"More or less..." She tried to stay standing up. I grabbed My's light as it rolled on the ground, the light followed the cord that lead to the switch, along the cord was a break.

"Looks like the rats got to the power cord... so much for that idea." Kaya walked up close behind me as she sighed in annoyed tone

"Hang on I have some electric tape, I can fix it in to second. Higha give me a lift."

"Of course Mya would be able to fix it." I teased her as she shot me an angry glare and stuck out her tongue. "I'm just teasing you please get it fixed so we can move on." Once the lights were on the hallway looked completely different. The walls were a pail blue, the floor a beautiful, but dusty as hell, white marble. I began to remember something that must have been deleted from my memory long ago. At the end of the hall was a lab, meant for robotics. There was a large screen that covered almost the entire wall, and a control panel below it, four metal beds were at a slant like you would see for a mad scientist who just made a monster, the room was well kept, but now dusty. "Mya can you get that computer running, there may be something on it that could be of use to us.

"Oh it. Higha give me a hand then please."

"What's with all these old books? They look like... journal. And some of them are so old, they should be in a museum!" Kaya dusted one off to reveal the words 'Doctor T. Light' "wonder who that is? Doctor T light? Wait what if the T stands for Tommas!"

"What the guy who made the original Mega man?... son of a bitch! You might be right!"

"Sky, Kay I got it working!" We walked over to the two younger angles to see the screen turn on, a man appeared.

"My name is Li River, I'm the creator of Skya Light, and the co creator of Kaya, Higha, and Mya."
