The Forest of Misery-Chapter 8

I was awakened by rustling sound behind a bush, "Who's there?" I ask nervously. I heard it again, but this time it was louder and it made me shiver. The rustling sound got even louder then it suddenly stopped.

A pair of red eyes suddenly glowed and started to growl. I started shaking and tried to shout but I couldn't bring myself to do it. 

The others were now awoken by the strong growls surrounding us, "What are they?" Eura asked her face full of fear. "They are the Shadow Wolves." Callisto explained, "They are vicious and mean, and attack in packs, they kill their prey before light struck the sky." he said knowingly, "And I guess that we're their prey tonight." he continued.

The wolf started to growl loudly as if signalling to attack at us. We hurriedly stood up and prepared for the attack. The first wolf started running towards us and the others followed, I started to chant a spell which made my attacker flew five meters away from me then the other.

"They're too many." Cendric said trying to defend himself with his short sword slashing and stabbing, then I noticed Eura and Seria stabbing the wolf with a small knife, I also noticed Callisto using a spell clearing enemies, "Hey keep focused!" I heard Cendric shouted and slashed on an incoming enemy, "Thanks!" that's the only thing that came out of my mouth.

"They're still too many!" Cendric said panting heavily. Then Callisto chanted a spell giving us a way to escape the wrath of the shadow wolves.

"Whew... t-that...was... c-close." I manage to say still catching my breath. "But it's still dark." Callisto said, "They won't stop chasing us." he continued. Then we heard growls coming near at us and that gave us a signal to start running again. "Won't they ever surrender?" Eura said as we ran as fast as we can, "They would if the sun shows up." Callisto said.

We keep ourselves hidden inside a small cave covered by gigantic weird looking leaves collected by Callisto, "Are you sure they won't find us here?" I asked, "Of course I am." Callisto said, "They can't smell us because of the leaves." he continued. "You sure about that?" Cendric asked, "Cause here they come." He said then we hear a loud growl.

We heard them sniffed from here to there, but they weren't sure where we are so they run in the different location, then we all sighed. "That was close." Eura said.

"How'd you know they wouldn't find as here?" Seria said appraisingly, "Well I read." That's his only reply.

We again fell asleep in order to regain our strength.

We stood up as we search for the first gem, "Hey! Kyllan how about using that dragon." Callisto stated, "But I don't know how to use him." I stated back. Then I got the ball and I whispered something in it like 'Awaken' the ball turned like a puzzle solving on its self and then the dragon appeared right in front of me.

"Then you use him." I said to Callisto, "Well I would if I could. But I cannot." he said. He breathed deeply and stated, "You are the one who unlocked him so you only have the rights  to use him."

That is I think true but how do I use this thing, so this is kinda useless.

We walked deeper in the forest the small dragon perched on my left shoulder. It's eye suddenly glowed, it was faint but I could see it clearly, "Did you see that?" I said pointing to the dragon, "See what?" they all asked at the same time.

"It's eyes suddenly glowed." I said confused, so they did not see that faint light. "You're just hungry, let us find some food first before we search for the first gem." Callisto said. Maybe, I was.

We found a lake which was good and we started to fish for food.

After minutes of fishing we finally coked the fish and started eating. Then we rested until we were all ready to go.

We walked for an hour still not finding anything, "We've been walking for hours." Seria said, then we heard some rustling sound. "Ahhh! Not again." Eura said, "Why do we always have to be in trouble." she continued. Then a small winged red eye rabbit appeared behind the bushes, "Ohh! Thank goodness." she said relieved.

Then I noticed the eye of the small dragon again, this time I didn't tell anyone, "This way everyone." I said somewhat surely, "How could you say there is no..." Eura said then we saw a temple, a ruined temple.

We hurriedly went inside it which made the dragons eye grow a little bit brighter. After entering the ruined temple, which is by the way very dark. 

After acquiring a light we went deeper inside the temple, the air was moist and damp, on the walls were some different writings which I cannot read. 

Minutes of touring inside the temple, the ground where we stand  suddenly collapsed.
