Butters was always the last kid picked for things, and often was a push over. People often never really thought of his feels and went about their own way with things.
Very rarely do people remember Butters had feelings.
So, at one point, you had to battle the Paladin, keeping in character the entire time. You couldn't even remember if the scrawny blond was on the humans or elves side...that's how much you all seemed to care.
It wasn't your fault, you told yourself.
It wasn't a big deal, it's just Butters.
But you struck him too hard without much thought, the other kids around you cheering. He plead a surrender but you were told to make sure the enemy would stay down.
That's when you went to far, swinging your weapon at him and knocking him back harder. The cheers grew and you stomped onto his weapon, finding it to be fake...unlike your own.
Oh shit...
The panic struck you as you looked down at the paladin, broken and sobbing on the ground.
You saw what damage you did. He was bleeding.
No one else seemed to notice this.
" Holy shit, Butters - "
" Nobody likes me!" He sobbed, staring up at you, expecting you to lay down a final blow.
