A Battle To Win

Chapter 2

      Everyone was surprised with what has occurred in the village. Kagome was pissed that he escape. She was getting ready to go after them until she remembered she had company. She groaned inwardly. She stayed in the sky to think of what happened.

'How are Naraku and I not inside the jewel?' Kagome thought
'Oh yeah. Our attacks got stronger so the jewel forced us out so we don't the destroy the jewel from the inside.' Kagome thought to herself

      Kagome forgot about the company she had again and continued to think. The others were dumbfounded. Until Inuyasha opened his mouth.

"How the hell are you here?!" Inuyasha yelled

      Kagome glanced at Inuyasha then ignored him. She didn't feel like giving him an explanation, knowing that he will probably say that she is lying. Honestly she could care less of what he thinks.
      Inuyasha kept yelling her for an explanation, she started looking around for her beloved son, Shippou, who she missed dearly. For Shippou it was only a couple of year of not seeing her but for Kagome it was centuries that she hadn't seen him. She finally found him from where she is in the sky. Shippou simply stared at her. She slowly started to descend toward the ground. She slowly walked toward Shippou to give him time to process of what has happened. As Kagome got closer to Shippou, the other blocked her from seeing her son.

"Get back!" Yelled Sango

      Kagome ignored Sango and continued forward. They kept blocking her from seeing her son. Shippou finally called out her name.

"K-Ka-Kagome?" Shippou stuttered

      Kagome gave him a soft smile and Shippou started sobbing and ran passed Miroku and Sango. Jumping on Kagome, snuggling into her chest.

"Where were you mama? I missed you so much!" Shippou wailed
"Shhhh it's alright Shippou. I'm here." Kagome said softly
"I missed you so much!" Shippou cried
"I missed you too. I missed you so much Shippou! Although for you it's been a couple of year for me it's been a long time!" Kagome cried softly

      Sesshomaru was shocked. Nobody knew but he really missed Kagome. She was the only person who treated him like a friend. She wasn't scared of him. She accepted him for who he was. She was a special person to him. He walked up towards her and hugged her which she returned with no hesitation. He was whimpering like a puppy who missed his mom. He started nuzzling into her neck. Kagome petted his hair to calm him down.

"I'm sorry that I was gone Sesshomaru-Sama." Kagome said softly with a warm gaze
"Don't apologize. I know you had a reason." Sesshomaru said softly

      Everyone was shocked with Sesshomaru's behavior toward Kagome's return to the feudal era. Kagome looked at them with a blank expression. They gulped except Kikyo. Kagome let go of Sesshomaru and Shippou and went toward kirara.

"Hello Kirara. I assume Midoriko-Sama told you the reason of my absence." Kagome said

      Kirara meowed and nodded. Kagome smiled then turned to Sesshomaru and Shippou.

"I'm sorry but I have to leave and track down Naraku and continue what was passed down to us but don't worry I'll tell you guys what I mean later." Kagome said

      Sesshomaru and Shippou were confused but nodded. Kagome smiles but it disappeared when she turned around. She slowly walked towards Kikyo and took the jewel from her neck and purified it fully and repaired the damages from the inside. Kagome walked away from Kikyo with the jewel. Kikyo and them stopped her from taking the jewel. Kikyo shot an arrow towards Kagome's arm. Kikyo smirked at what she did but Kagome was unfazed.

"Give back the jewel!" Inuyasha yelled
"I can not do that." Kagome said
"And why can't you! You are not the guardian of the Shikon jewel. It does not belong to you! It belong to us!" Yelled inuyasha
"I cant let you guys have the jewel. You guys tainted the jewel with evil which led to Naraku's powers to increase." Kagome said blankly
"The Shikon jewel does not belong to you guy at all. Kikyo is not the true guardian of the jewel. If she was then Naraku's power would not have increased." Kagome said

      Inuyasha got mad and did a wind scar towards her.

Well this is my first time writing a fanfic so I'm sorry if it's kinda messy. Also sorry about the grammar and spelling. I'll try to make it better 🙂
