The dress felt comfortable, but unfamiliar. I turned to mom with a scowl upon me.
"You think I look okay?" I asked, going in circles."Well," she put her hands on her hips. "You look fantastic, Hope. How can you not?"
"Exactly!" Jacob and Eva changed from the doorway. I walked to the mirror and stared at my reflection.
My dark brown hair was tied into a bun on top of my head and my brown eyes glinted. The yellow dress, which was long enough to reach my ankles, fitted me perfectly, and having no sleeves didn't bother me at all.
I smiled.
"If he thinks I look fine, that's all I want." I said, more to myself"Okay, love bird." Eva said, walking up to me. "Slow down, now. Of course he'll like you! If he doesn't, then there has to be something wrong with his eyes."
I turned to see her rosy cheeks. It's her graduation too, but she doesn't look as nervous as Jacob. For my pleasure, they've talked there differences out, and now they are back to being friends. I smiled.
"Don't say that, will you? It's his eyes I like the most!" I said honestly. She tilted the sleeves of her pretty red dress. "Yeah, I know why"
"How come?"
"Well, every girl in the school loves his eyes. His dazzling blue eyes, they say. They've been wondering who's his new secret girlfriend is. They'll see today and they'll freak!!" We both laughed, and was joined by Jacob and mom.
"Okay, now you pretty girls and you handsome boy, go and get into my car. I'm dropping you off." Mom said, pointing to us.
We chuckled and followed her out of the house and into the car.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••We arrived at the school, which was crowded with formally dressed people who all glowed in the night. I got down myself from the car, immediately followed by Eva and Jacob. Mom kissed me goodbye before driving off, waving to us.
Eva and Jacob were quickly surrounded by a gang of pretty girls and boys, and to my surprise, one boy with pale blonde hair and bright green eyes wrapped his tattooed arm over Jacob's.
"You look so pretty, Hope." Someone said in my ear, and I immediately recognized the rough but clear voice of Jasper's. I turned to see him, and my jaw literally dropped.
He was wearing a suit. A black suit and black pants with a blue tie. His brown messy hair perfected his looks and his eyes were bright as ever. I smiled.
"You look handsome as well, Jas."He shrugged and took my hand into his. "I do always."
"Okay now. Don't go so over the top." I said.
He laughed. "I won't. I'm just joking."
"I know."
"Jasper!" Someone yelled from behind. We both turned, and saw a girl with jet black hair and dark Amber eyes walking towards us in a short blue dress. She hugged Jasper, and I felt a sudden pang in the heart.
"How are you?" She asked.Jasper smiled and nodded. "All good."
"And... who's this with you?" She asked, running her eyes all over me.
Jas gave a light squeeze to my hand and grinned. "This is Hope, my girlfriend. Hope, this is Ariel."
The girl's smile slightly faltered. "Girlfriend?"
"Yeah. We started dating a week ago." Jas answered.
I smiled. "Hi, nice to meet you."
"Hmm, yeah. Well, I got to go. Bye. See you Jasper." She waved and walked off.
"Who is that?" I asked as we started walking back towards the school entrance.
He scoffed. "One of those girls I told you about. A one who jumps herself over to guys."
"Oh. Has she jumped over to you?" The words slipped before I could stop myself.
He laughed. "Well, she jumps over to everyone. No one in particular. She tried so hard to get to me."
The thought sent a shiver down my spine. "Um...."
"I know what you're going to ask." He said as we stepped into the hallway. "No, I have no feelings for her. My heart is reserved only for you, and it's only you who matters."
His words washed over me and I squeezed his hand. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.
"I think the time has done it's magic." I said. He frowned, making me laugh. "I love you too, Jas." I leaned into him and kissed him.
I felt the surprise in him, but he kissed me back. We both smiled in our embrace, and when our lips parted, he planted a gentle kiss on my forehead."Come on, let's go." He said and we both walked into the main hall where the graduation ceremony was just about to start.
