Fortunately, the poodle was just a little malnourished if she was cared for- if she had a home, she wouldn't be so skinny.

Sadly, no one wanted her and Esalyn decided to adopt her- to take her home. She wouldn't be alone anymore.

She sat in a corner well-behaved waiting for her new owner to finish her work. She barked softly when Esalyn glanced at her with a smile.

Soon, the sky turned pink as the sun start to set. The last customer had left too.

"Well... Let's go home my little poodle. What should i name you my lil baby girl?"

She smiled, carrying her newly adopted poodle up to her arms while connecting noses in a nose rub.

Just as she was about to leave & close the clinic for the day, her eyes met someone familiar.

"Oh Zanilia? Is Sunshine okay?"

A frantic Zanilia was in front of her- Sunshine was shivering on her arms as a little girl was beside her, holding the hem of her skirt.

"No.... There's something wrong with him. He keeps on shivering. I know it's late & you're about to close the clinic but.... Can you see if there's something wrong with Sunshine? I'm s-sorry."

Her eyes had a glint of tears in them.

Esalyn sprung into action as Zanilia transfer Sunshine to her arms. Worry & something she can't recognize were in her gaze.

She examined him swiftly.

He whimpers as his cute puppy eyes exudes pain. Oh shit. Don't tell me that Sunshine's abdomen is infected!

She stole a glance at his owner- Zanilia who is sitting down with her face on her hands.

It seems that something is wrong....

Esalyn placed all her attention back to Sunshine hoping to cure his infected abdomen. Pulling out a clean syringe, she figured that the only way is to give him an injection.

"Lil brave sunshine, it'll be a little painful but... It'll be over soon."

She whispered, her hands carressed him trying to calm him down. And as quick as lightning, the injection is done.

"All's well. Sweet Sunshine you're so brave, i'm proud of you."

She carried him up as she did a little dance with him.

"Zanilia, sunshine is fine now, but he needs plenty of rest & some antibiotics. I'll administer some for him. A bacteria infected his abdomen luckily, it isn't too serious."

She transfered him back to his owner's arms, she glanced into her sad eyes with a concern look.

"Thank you Esalyn. I don't know what to do without you."

She gave her a sad smile as she reached for her purse giving her the amount of money needed for Sunshine's treatment.

She was about to leave when Esalyn held out a hand to stop her.

"Wait. Zanilia, are you okay? You seem... Down?"

She questioned, her doe eyes were filled with concern. Her brows creased as her eyes absorbed the sad essence ozzing from her customer. Zanilia couldn't hide her feelings away from her no matter how much she tried.

"I'm... O-okay. It's late, you should go home n-now & t-thank y-you."

She whispered as she looked downwards not daring to look straight into Esalyn's deep doe green eyes for fear of losing her shit.
