Barchie- set in 7th grade

Betty POV

Archie's been out sick all week, and I'm getting really worried about him. Exams are next week, and we all need to study for them. Mom won't tell me what he's sick with, so Jughead and I walk to his house after school with homework and actual good stuff, like old cd's.

Knocking on the door, I say, "It's Betty and Jug! We have stuff for Archie." The door opens, revealing a very worried Fred. "Is he okay? Jug and I wanted to check on him, if that's okay with you."

"Yeah, he's fine. He has walking pneumonia, so the doctor doesn't want him to be in school until next week." Mr. Andrews says, sighing heavily.

"Well, that's good! Can we go upstairs and give him the work he missed and some comfort things?" Juggie says, smiling.

"Yeah, yeah, of course. No funny business, kids." Fred says, mumbling something about work as we jog up the stairs to Archie's room.

"Hey Archie. We brought you some work from school, since you can't go back until exam time. But, for entertainment, we brought your favorite- Def Leppard and other assorted rock and roll from the 80s." Jug and I say in unison.

"Thanks guys. Did I miss anything interesting while sick?" Archie says, since he showed up for one day last week, went home early, and hasn't been back since.

"Well, Cheryl and Jason threw a party that bored the crap out of me, since everyone was playing Spin the Bottle, Serena likes Chuck, who got suspended for punching Jeremy in the face, because of that fight, Polly had her first kiss with Trevor, the usual stuff. Oh, and Josie told me to tell you that she's asking the teachers to push back your exams so you have time to get caught up." I say, giving him a quick air hug.

"That's nice of Josie. Remember though, Chuck is not good. The last girl he dated, let's just say, he's in court and yeah. Wait, did you kiss anyone at this spin the bottle party?" Archie says, slightly pissed off.

"I mean, I played one round and had to kiss Jughead, but, after that, we both decided to stop playing and threw a football on the grounds of Thornhill." I say, confused on why he cares so much. Yes, Arch and I are dating, but still, that doesn't give him the right to dictate what I play.

"Yeah, I wasn't risking her kissing Chuck. The game was staged though, since no one's kiss was that surprising. Cheryl was clearly in the mood for chaos." the overprotective best friend says, smiling.

"Okay, at least it wasn't some neanderthal that I'd have to beat up. I'll let it slide this time, Jug. This better not happen again." he says, laughing.

"Babe, you're not scary. In the meantime, we better catch you up on what you missed at school this week- and last week." I say, smirking.

Even though I don't personally ship Barchie at all (BUGHEAD IS ENDGAME.), I know some people do, so here's their one shot. This is probably the last one  shot of them I'll ever make, because it was really hard to convince myself that they're a good enough ship to be written.

Anyways, I'm trying to upload a chapter of both of my stories daily, so go on over to Phases if you watch Fuller House and ship Jamona.

That's all I got, so...

Later,

~Ry
