Chaeyoung's POV

Mina sat down next to me. My mind was racing, filling itself with a playback of this morning. Us falling on one another, the crowd, all of it. My face got all warm at the moment.

"No way! Is Chaeyoung really sitting next to the new girl?" A voice from across the room loudly "whispered"

"Guess so. They fell on top of each other this morning. It was comedy gold! I can't believe they can show their faces to each other!" Another person said back.

"Yo, Chaeyoung's blushing! She soooo likes her. Like, LIKE likes her!" The first voice replied. Basically, everyone around her looked at Mina and me with a suspicious glare.

Thankfully we were saved by the bell. Or, uh, the teacher in this case. The teacher walked into the room and was hitting the wall with his fist to make us calm down. As soon as the class heard the loud bangs they all shut up and faced front.

I joined them and faced the teacher. I always hated math but at least I could understand it. Now I'm out in this advanced class where the only person I know is Mina, the girl who I completely embarrassed myself in front of before. But, if I'm not mistaking then Dahyun should be in this class too.

As if she heard my thoughts, Dahyun barged in the room panting and gasping for air.

"You're late Miss Kim Dahyun," the teacher said condescendingly towards my friend.

"I *gasp* thought that Einstein said *wheeze* time was relative *gasp*. So maybe I'm not late *gasp* maybe you are all just early," Dahyun tried saying between her gasps for air. Her face was all red, contrasting her usual unusually pale skin tone. Along with the simple color change, her skin was all glossy and shiny too.

The teacher just shook his head in disappointment. He signaled for her to sit down. She lumbered over to her seat which was right in front of mine. She looked back to talk to Mina but saw me and her eyes immediately widened. Her mouth dropped and she let out a small gasp. Before she could say anything, though, the teacher hit the wall again. Her head snapped to the front of the class.

"Alright, so, I'm tired and I don't wanna teach today. Just take this paper and do it. It will be graded so at least try. You can work with whoever you want. Turn it in at the end of class." He handed us all a front and back worksheet with complex mathematical equations on it for us to solve. I may be able to use this as a chance to get closer to Mina...

As soon as we were all given our papers people chaotically switched seats. People were pushed and shoved so others can get a seat next to their friend before someone else can take it. One guy was even aggressively pushed out of his own seat for no real reason. It was complete and utter chaos. It seemed as though this was absolutely normal since the teacher wouldn't even bat an eye.

Dahyun turned towards Mina and I with a confused look. She seemed to be asking me questions with her eyes alone. I decided to explain how I was moved to this class due to the overcrowding of my old one. Dahyun nodded. Her confused glare turned into one of mischievous nature. Her mouth curled into a smirk. Before she could say anything to embarrass me in front of Mina I chose to cut in.

"So, Mina, do you understand how to do this?" I turned to her and pointed at the problems on her paper. She looked down at her paper, flipped it to the back then back to the front, and looked at me to nod. I continued, "Great because I'm absolutely lost!" That's a lie, I just wanted to talk to her. To convince her I even rubbed my nape with a nervous smile plastered to my face.

"Here," she pointed at the first problem, "What you do first is multiply the fractions. Do you know how to do that?"

Her voice was so warm and calming. She spoke to me like a caring mother would speak to her loving child. Her voice was warm like fire and soft like a stuffed bear. When I looked in her eyes I saw this comforting innocence. Nothing mattered aside from Mina and me in the moment. Forget about the stupid math paper, I just cared about her glowing, angelic self.

"Chae, you're staring," Dahyun whispered in my ear. I jumped upon hearing her voice and snapped back to reality almost immediately. Mina looked at me as if I was crazy, which is reasonable.

"So...you get all of that, Chaeyoung?" Mina giggled as I looked at her absolutely embarrassed beyond belief.

"Uh, heh heh, yeah..." I stuttered as I responded.

"You're cute when you stutter," she said to me with a gummy smile. My face got hot, like REALLY hot. I could tell that it was completely red. My heart started beating quickly just because she called me cute. I'm absolutely falling for her and there's no getting out of it.

"Earth to Son Chaeyoung. Commander Son, do you copy? I repeat Commander Son do you copy? Over," Dahyun laughed as she spoke into her hand, pretending it was a walkie talkie or something of the sort. I hit her hand lightly in an attempt to get her to shut up. Thankfully it worked.

"We should probably get to work eheh," I tried to cover up my blatant feelings.

"Yes, that would be wonderful," Mina replied to me with a grin.

We began working on the paper together. I mean...not together together...we were just some totally non-romantic partners.
