Bittersweet |Shoto Todoroki X Reader

-D O C K-

I was disappointed Todoroki wasn't at the dock. He's not even my friend. I sat down at the dock looking up at the moon and started to name constellations. I felt my body relaxing.

*tat tat tat* I heard footsteps immediately causing me to bolt up looking in the direction they were coming from. "Oh sorry L/n I didn't mean to scare you! I couldn't sleep" he said taking off his sunglasses.

"Oh hey Todo I didn't notice you for a second." I said sitting down signaling him to come. He nodded his head and walked towards me sitting down to my left.

"Why can't you sleep Todo?" I pulled my knees to my chest since my legs were getting a bit cold. "There's a lot on my mind?" He said looking up. "Todo you can always come talk to me" I said putting my arms inside my hoodie.

"I've never really had a person I tell things before." He sighed. "Me neither Todo I just happen to move in next to Midoriya and BAM we're friends." I began to shiver a little. "Here L/n let me help you." Todo swiftly got closer to me pressing his left side on me warming me up.

"Wow Todo I didn't know you had two quirks?!" We made eye contact. He looked away "Actually it's one quirk half cold half hot." My body felt soo warm. "Oh is that why your hair is red and white." He sighed "Yes I just hate my fire."

"Why? I bet it's beautiful." I looked up at the sky. "It's because my old man wants me to use it." I felt a little annoyed. "At least you don't have a quirk that makes you a messier human being." He looked down at me.

"L/n you didn't let me finish! I don't like my fire because as soon as I got my quirk my father took the chance to make me 'useful' since my siblings inherited my mothers quirk. He wants me to surpass him." He stopped and inhaled "One time my mother poured boiling hot water on my left side calling it unbearable she was gone from the house the next day." I wanted to comfort him but I didn't know how.

-Todoroki's p.o.v-

"Todo Im not good with people but I know at least you aren't alone! You have your siblings." She said her eyes beginning to water. "L/n why do you live alone?" I asked her asked her rubbing my eyes trying to hold my tears back.

"Todo I used to live in America" She sighed. "I moved to japan just to go to U.A ,but Japan was mostly the reason I wanted to come something somewhere called me!" She took a deep breath. "Turns out I was born in Japan! But one eventful day made me forget who I was and who my real parents were." Tears began to pour out of her eyes but she held her straight face for dear life.

"My dad died before I was born leaving me and my sister alone with my mom who went insane because of my fathers death. My mom had some sanity until I was 3 she made my sister kill me. S-She failed unluckily I survived." Stupid why unluckily. "AllMight found me before I bled to death. None ever found my sister but I know she's alive." She was crying but her face was still full of hope.

"L/n lets be friends." I blurted out. She got up ruffling my hair. "You should smile more Todo! And sure let's be friends!" She yawned. "I'm leaving. If your house is too far away you can crash at my house anytime." I nodded getting up. "I can make it home goodbye L/n" I said walking behind her. "Ok bye Todo." She smiled walking towards an apartment complex.

-Y/n's p.o.v-

I felt really sleepy by the time I got home so I just fell asleep on the couch.

I got up an hour later than usual causing me to skip my workout today. Now I'm gonna be in a shitty mood. I quickly got in the shower taking no less than 10 minutes. I got dressed fast knowing my time was counted. :,(
