Chapter 4
“Why can’t we just spend all this money?” I asked Janet, waving the three hundred dollars I held in my hand in front of her face.
“No matter how many times you ask, my answer won’t change.” Janet replied, drily and annoyed.
“Oh C’mon, just think about all the alcohol three hundred dollars would buy us!” I tried to convince Janet.
“Alcohol,” Janet muttered distastefully and shook her head in disbelief.
“Be a sport, Janet!” I tried persuading her.
“Ivory, shut up. I get it you are bored but please stop speaking shit, it’s annoying.” Janet said, irritated.
She was right. I was bored beyond imagination. I had absolutely no Ivory-like fun since last two days and honestly it was really sad. Since the party two nights ago, I had hung out with Janet and only Janet. All we did was play Call Of Duty, help Janet’s mom in her boutique and if there was any time left we would watch TV. That’s it! Nothing interestingly crazy or fun! I was craving for something more fun. Janet never really approves of my crazy ideas but she does go crazy worrying about every worst possibility that could take place.
"Jane, I really need something interesting to do! Keeping up with the every day drama in my life is driving me crazy! I'm so fed up of constantly arguing with my parents and nor can I handle there shallow outlook to the life!" I said, truthfully after a couple of minutes.
"I understand Ivory." She replied shooting me a sad smile.
I heaved a sigh but said nothing. I looked outside the window and noticed that we had arrived at the Fashion Complex. Janet swiftly drove into the parking lot of the Fashion Complex. Fashion Complex is the place where Janet’s Mother – Lillian owns her boutique. It was a famous boutique among teenagers. The clothes Lillian kept in her boutique were unique and always in fashion. Lillian had an amazing taste when it comes to clothes, so there was nothing in her boutique that you wouldn’t like. The collection was always the best. And the clothes she sold were something my mother would never approve. They weren’t sophisticated like my mom preferred. The clothes Lillian kept were casual, something a normal teenager would like. Something I prefer and like.
I sighed. I wanted something more fun than helping Lillian in running her shop, but apparently I had nothing better to do since Janet’s going to be helping her mom and I had no other friend I could hang out with.
I mean it was a lot easier for me to make enemies than friends.
"Hey, how about you join to the camp I am going for?" Janet offered.
"Camp? What Camp?" I asked puzzled. I don't remember Janet mentioning any kind of camp to me.
"Its a camp for deliquents," Janet replied, shooting me a mischievous smile.
"Ha ha very funny Janet, "
"Yeah It was funny... anyways I'm planning to go for a camp which is about two hundred kilometers from here. It's going to have lots of activites, well mostly adventures like Rappling, scuba diving, bungee jumping. Its for two weeks." She informed.
"Firstly, why haven't I heard about this before? And when were you planning on telling me you are going to a camp for TWO WEEKS?! Once you reach there?" I asked, appalled. I narrowed my eyes at her. How could she not tell me she is going for a camp! I thought we were best friends!
"Calm Down Ivory! I just saw a pamplet two days ago. I'm not sure if I'll go. Its just an idea." Janet defended herself.
I glared at her and crossed my arms over my chest.
