Nate shut the door and headed up to his room. Susie wouldn't going to be home for another hour, so he thought he should have time to chat with his online friends before he had to go for dinner.

TeddiursaChan: Oh Eevee's online now!
GigantimaxGengar: Hey there, Eevee! How's festival day been for you?
ExoticEevee: Pretty good, honestly. I got given a locket by those strange twins I told you guys about...
ExoticEevee: Anyway how's it been wherever y'all are?
Paradoxical: It's not festival day in Alola yet :(
GigantimaxGengar: Oof RIP Paradoxical.
TeddiursaChan: It was great here in Kalos. I got to try a Casteliacone for the first time.
GigantimaxGengar: Really? You should come over to my apartment sometime. I live right near the Casteliacone stand here in the city.
Paradoxical: Oh wow that's really cool.
GigantimaxGengar: Yeah I get them almost every day... Anyway, what happened with the locket thing Eevee?
ExoticEevee: So those two girls saw me give a slice of pizza to an aipom
TeddiursaChan: Aww <3 that's so sweet
ExoticEevee: Then said that they needed to repay me for my kindness
Paradoxical: So that's it?
ExoticEevee: So they gave me the locket and this really old book with pokémon photos and ran off
GigantimaxGengar: That's really weird, but also really nice
Paradoxical: Is there anything in the locket?
TeddiursaChan: Maybe they have a crush on you or something?
ExoticEevee: There's nothing in the locket, Paradoxical.
ExoticEevee: And Teddiursa I'm pretty sure they'd be up front with me if they had a crush on me.
TeddiursaChan: Maybe...
ExoticEevee: Anyway, I'm gonna go experiment with it now, then go to dinner. If anything happens I'll be sure to update y'all on the situation. Toodles!
GigantimaxGengar: Alright. Stay safe!
Paradoxical: ^^^
TeddiursaChan: Seeya, Eevee!

Nate turned off his Pokéwalker XL, and looked over the locket and book that were on his desk. The locket was shaped like a pokéball and painted bronze on the outside. It had a silver sheen on its inside, which contained space for a single photo. The handbook contained photos of pokémon that were native to the Kanto and Johto, with room for hundreds more on later pages. The pages also had detailed descriptions of the pokémon, almost as if it were a predecessor to the modern Pokédex. "Why the heck would they give me something like this?" Nate questioned aloud. Suddenly an idea sprung into his mind. Nate flipped through the book, careful not to tear the pages. He stopped on the Eevee page, "Whoever took these photos must've been really good if they were able to get so many high quality photos..." Nate slowly, carefully, took the photo from the page and put it into the locket. Once the photo was in place Nate shut the locket and put it on his neck, tucking it underneath his shirt. "If I'm going to use the locket for pokémon photos, I might as well pick the best one there is..." Nate looked out his open window to see if his sister was coming, and sure enough Susie was walking up the street with two large pizza boxes stacked on top of each other. The boxes had the 'Balestrieri Pizza' logo printed on the tops and sides, with a picture of an incineroar in a chef hat next to the text. Nate sighed, knowing that dinner would be the same as the previous night. He looked up at the sun, which was beginning to set behind the mountain range and forests off in the West. The light reflected off of the sea, which gave it an ethereal purple-orange glow. hoothoot and noctowl began waking up, and flying off into the mountains, as wingull flew back from the ocean to sleep in their roosts along the docks. The last of the festival stalls began to close up shop, as boats came into the shore and sailors unloaded the cargo. The Olivine café slowly filled with life of all sorts, as workers finished their shifts and needed a rest. Nate shut his window, to prevent mosquitoes from buzzing into his room, and headed downstairs to begin setting the table for dinner. He shivered a moment; an odd feeling had come over him. He looked around his room, before shrugging and shutting the door.

Nate rolled in his bed as the sunlight hit his eyes. Today was Saturday, so his sister would have left for work already. Nate had the whole house to himself for the day. Most kids his age would hang out at others' houses or the beach, but due to the lack of teenagers in Olivine, Nate was stuck by himself. Nate rubbed his chin, which felt fairly fuzzy all of a sudden. "Man, I really need to shave" Nate thought aloud. He crawled out of bed, and slowly made his way down the stairs and into the kitchen. He wandered through the kitchen, pulling out a half-empty carton of milk and a box of honey-coated cereal. Nate then went to grab a bowl out of the cabinet above the sink. "Huh... that's odd. I could've sworn I reached the bowls in the cabinet yesterday." He was forced to stand on his toes in order to grab a bowl, before he begun making himself a bowl of cereal. Nate brought the cereal to the living room coffee table, sat down with it in his lap, and started flicking through the channels, shoving spoonful's of cereal into his mouth.
