Nate poked at Susie with his tiny paws, however Susie remained unconscious. "Oh Arceus... I didn't think she'd freak out to the point of fainting. Maybe a little screaming, or-" There was knocking at the front door. Nate's ears perked up, and his fur stood on end. He began looking back and forth between his sister and the gaping bedroom door. There was another series of knocks, then a pause.
A voice came from the outside, "Nate, we know you're at home" "Nate, we can tell you're at home". Two female voices said simultaneously. Nate attempted to scramble up to his bed in order to reach the window; he needed to see who was at the front door. However, his small body size and loose sheets made it nearly impossible to make it all the way up without sliding back down. Nate sighed, and hurried out of the room as another series of knocks echoed throughout the house. He made his way down the stairs rather quickly, and came up to the door. There was a small doggy door in the front, however it had been locked to prevent stray pokémon from coming into the house. Fortunately for Nate, the lock was on the inside of the house. Unfortunately, it was intended to be used by people with apposable thumbs. Nate found it almost impossible to grip the small latch enough to unlock it. Still, he kept leaping up, and nudging it. Slowly the lock was knocked over, and finally unlatched. Nate dove through the now unlocked pet door, and bumped into the Sakura twins. They looked down at Nate, and grinned, "We didn't think you'd change that quickly" "We didn't realize you'd change so quickly". Nate's eyes widened as he looked up and realized who it was he had bumped into. Nate slowly backed away, keeping eye contact with the twins. The Sakura Twins looked at each other, before turning back to Nate. The one on the left reached down to grab Nate, grinning as she did so. Nate turned himself around as fast as he could, and attempted a dive through the door. The twin anticipated this, and caught him before he could go back through the door. They began patting Nate's fur, making Nate slowly start to relax against his will. Nate lied down in the Twin's arms, as his mind drifted away from his sister and the locket. The Sakura Twins giggled, and began scratching his ears as well. Nate had never felt more bliss in his life. He closed his eyes, not a care in the world as to who was holding and scratching him.
"Sister will be safe. I'll just fall asleep for a couple of minutes, and then..." Nate thought aloud as he drifted to sleep. A faint "Eevee. Eevee-vee vee..." was heard as the twin sisters carried away a small eevee. The sisters walked down the street, away from Nate's house, and towards their own. Nate, who was now asleep and happily dreaming, had in the moment forgotten about the amulet and the twins' mysterious arrival. All he cared about were the soft hands that were scratching his fluffy ears.Nate woke up on a soft pile of... He couldn't quite place the feeling. He looked down to see what it was, only to find furry paws instead of hands. He jumped up in surprise and looked around frantically, memories of what happened slowly trickling into his mind. Nate looked up and around the room, "This isn't my house... This is.. This must be the Sakura twins' house." The room was filled with pokémon toys, plushies, and doll houses, and carried the scent of raspberry perfume. The walls were decorated with floral patterns and children's drawings. "The locket..." Nate realised, and looked down to try and see if it was still around his neck. Sure enough, the locket was still hanging around his neck. It had somehow shrunken itself to fit Nate's current size and form. Nate began pushing the locket up his neck, in an attempt to get it off, "Maybe this stupid locket thing did this...". The locket slid up around his head, getting stuck for a brief moment on his ears, before falling to the ground next to a small Floette doll. Nate pushed the doll out of the way and began fumbling with the locket, trying to open it, "Stupid paws... Too big and fluffy..." Nate grumbled, his paws unable to do anything on the slippery metal. As he fumbled around he noticed he had small claws. Nate wedged the claws into the locket and pried it open. The locket flipped open, the photo now smaller as well to fit with the locket's size. However, the photo didn't have an eevee in it like before. Instead, it was a photo of Nate in front of the Eevee's background. A loud knock came from the bedroom door, making Nate jump and his fur stand on end.
"Nate, are you in there?" "Nate, are you awake?" Two voices chimed in unison. Nate quickly closed the locket, and wriggled it back onto his neck. The twins entered the room, their eyes drawn to Nate. Nate quickly scurried away from them, accidentally bumping into the wall behind him. Nate's head throbbed, and the world spun around him. He felt a pair of hands pick him up and begin patting his fur. Nate resisted giving into temptation a second time, and jumped out of the twin's arms. He scampered out the door, finding himself on a slippery tiled floor amongst a maze of doors and hallways. He looked around, his headache subsiding slightly, and saw the two girls still surprised at what he had done. Nate skidded his way through the corridors, not knowing where he was going or how he was going to get out.
