Devin's POV
"No, no, please stop!!" I heard Dawson mumble from the other side of our bed. I immediately got worried and pulled him into my arms. I knew he was having a nightmare. "Shhh, shh, it's okay, it's okay, it's all gonna be okay," I soothed, or attempted to. I didn't know why he was upset or having a nightmare, but I didn't dwell on that for too long, because my main priority was always taking care of Dawson. "It's okay, shhhh, I've got you, I got you," I whispered. I felt him grab my shirt and say "dev?". "Yep, it's me babe. It's me, breathe please. Please just breathe in and out, in and out, you got this." I whispered, because I figured if I talked too loud or even at normal volume, I might frighten him. That's the absolute LAST thing I want. He started to calm down a bit, was shaking less, and the whimpering began to slow down. Just in case, I started to sing Can't Help Falling In Love to him, to really make sure he was calmed down. He started to relax even more, and eventually happily fell asleep in my arms.
