He only lived a couple doors down from Rowley, so his walk home was fairly short. As he approached his house, he noticed that his brother wasn't home yet. Greg had lost sight his van a couple hours ago, but his curiosity lingered.

Once the door had opened, Manny came running at him, surprising him and head butting his stomach. Manny snickered and ran into the living room as Greg yelped in pain. Manny had grown much more and was stronger than he was before. His hits hurt, like all hell. Fucker, was all Greg thought as he recovered from his attack.

His mom ran to Greg, alarmed from the loud sound Greg had made, "are you okay Greg?"

"Yea, Manny just winded me."

His mother chuckled as she walked towards the kitchen, "That's Manny." Manny, although a prick, had to be Greg's second favourite brother. He'd do anything to keep his little brother- the baby of the family- safe, which is why he had to find out what he had witnessed at the park.

Greg walked upstairs to his room, looking around for pranks or Manny-food before walking in. When he deemed that it was safe, Greg laid on his bed, staring thoughtfully at the ceiling. Today had been a lot for the teen. Watched by a creature, dragged by sand, almost swallowed by it too. Today he had also seen Rowley. Rowley. The boy still couldn't understand why he'd get so nervous around his best friend. The feeling of Rowley's skin on his was exhilarating. He thought about the way Rowley had looked at him today, with concern and genuine care. Rowley was such a good person in Greg's eyes. He didn't know what he'd do without him. His face was on fire. Rowley had looked so caring, so soft, so... beautiful. Beautiful? This was the second time today that Greg had completed his best friend on his appearance.

Greg was confused. He didn't know what was going on or why he was feeling this way. Most people don't get all warm and sweaty or get tingly feelings in their stomachs when their best friend touches or looks at them. Well, maybe Greg wasn't most people. This was too much for his brain, he needed to think about the important things.

He switched his train of thought towards today's events. The teen needed to discover what he had experienced at the park earlier today. To Greg, probably to anyone else who would have witnessed it, the event was so strange, so supernatural. He couldn't believe that Rowley would actually want to tell the police. If people found out they were the ones who told them, they'd both become the laughing stock of the school, possibly the town. Whatever it could end up like, it was not something the both of them would be able to ever live down. Greg was terrified of that possibility.

Though, if what he had witnessed was really the thing taking kids, Greg could avoid becoming a town-freak with his best friend and possibly be rejoiced as a hero and saviour. To get to this point, he seriously needed to get more proof of what he had witnessed. He needed to go back there and rediscover what he had found and somehow document it. Greg began to intensely stare at his ceiling, instead of just a normal thoughtful stare.

After some thoughtful thinking, Greg had decided that he shouldn't do this alone. He definitely needs help, as this might be something powerful he's dealing with.

His brain's first suggestion for help was Rowley. He really wanted more excuses to be with Rowley. Although he didn't understand his feelings, he knew that he wanted to be around Rowley- no he needed to have him around. Greg sighed, turning over onto his side. Rowley wanted no part in this. He was the one who suggested telling people, was the one who told Greg that telling the police was the "right thing to do." Greg didn't know what to do though. He didn't have anyone else to turn to but Rowley. Plus, Rowley had his camcorder.

Greg huffed, sitting up. He knew what he was going to do. He was going to sneak into Rowley's room at night and force him to check the park out with him. He knew Rowley would be terrified out-of-his mind, but Greg needed the support and if he wasn't going to get it from Rowley consensually. Then, he wasn't going to get it from him consensually.
