I'm the CatWoman's daughter. Ever since birth I haven't known my father. I've been doing everything like she does it but I don't steal. Never have never will. My only biggest fear is people knowing who I am and where I come from. It's not everyday that people suddenly become your friend because your the daughter of the famous villain. It wasn't till that fateful night that I saw him for the very first time. The BatMan and NightWing. I was my mother's getaway driver and the only thing I hate more than being a getaway driver is going to jail. I've never been in jail of course but it just would suck in general to never be able to hangout with my friends. Harley Quinn, The Riddler, Penguin, and Joker. I slowly started learning the names of every other villain out there but there's so many it's quite impossible.
I sat in the car in a nearby alley way and decided to stay in the car not following her. Why would I anyway when I was her getaway driver. "Be safe kitten," she spoke before climbing the roof top to get in through the roof of the building next to the one I was parked at. For a mission that would only take ten minutes at about five minutes in I looked out the window in enough time to see a figure move onto the building. I was for sure it was my mother so I got out through the sunroof stealthily and climbing the building wall with my high tech sticky gloves that I made myself
When I got to the top I searched for my mother with the night vision goggles I wore almost all the time at night that I also created myself. I saw two figures moving behind a crate on the roof and saw that they were speaking. I was yet to come up with something that could allow me to hear what was being said but with my ability to read lips I picked a few things up. "Daughter... death.... Jail."
I knew instantly something was up and that's when I heard my mother's feet running on the roof. She spotted me first naturally out of instinct before spotting the two other people in black. One had a cape and his uniform consisted of a pointy eared masked costume while the other had a giant bird on his chest. My mother started fighting them and they were yet to see me. She kept them back with her whip she always Carried before throwing me the diamonds she stole.
"Do mama a favor and go fetch the car sweetie I'll be down in a little bit."
Out of instinct I ran towards a car and jumped onto it before jumping into the air to grab the bag as it fell through the sunroof. Before spotting the men staring at me through the dark, I dropped the bag in the back seat and slammed the peddle naturally just like my mother would have done and took off driving through the now empty streets of Gotham.
I kept it open as I drove straight out of the alley way before taking a sharp right and cruising down the street gently following the law. I spoke out loud into the head set we communicated with. "Mom anytime now please end your rodeo. I'm tired and there's some milk waiting in the fridge for me."
I could feel somehow that she smirked before she whisper the word "now" and quickly I sped up knowing she was going to run and jump into the vehicle so this had to be times out right.
As she jumped the other people tried to reach her but she got into the car safety and I stepped on the gas adding at least ten more miles to the speed we were driving.
"Honey in a getaway chase you drive a little faster," my mom screamed looking back to see a big black car with pointy things on it that looked like ears. "Sorry Mom I just don't want us to die," I screamed taking a sudden turn left before driving faster. "That's my girl."
I wasn't one to do car chases and I'm surprised I even know how to drive. The people were ganging up on us faster now. I ended up taking a wrong turn into an alleyway and before I knew it I slammed on the brakes but it wasn't fast enough and the car crashed straight into the wall. I was protected by the airbag but my mother sadly did not have anything covering her. She didn't have any major injuries but she wasn't awake.
Scared I started crying and quickly reached over the seat and unbuckled her before grabbing her and hopping out of the car carrying her out of the alley way. I stumbled forward and set her down. "Mama. Mama," I whispered moving a strand of hair out of her fact. "Mama please wake up."
The tears mixed with the sudden drops of rain and I held my mother.
"Why. Why. Why. Please kill me," I screamed out into the almost soon daytime but with the black clouds forming because of the rain the sky remained tinted black. "Please Mama you can't be gone. I should never have drove. You should have just never taken what you stole mama. You'll never be able to forgive yourself. I'll never be able to forgive myself."
The tears left mixed puddles with the rain and then I heard footsteps. They stopped only feet away from me. "Please whoever you are or whatever you are you can have these back," I whispered handing him what my mama had stolen. A hand was placed on my shoulder and without looking to see who it belonged too I picked up my mother and started walking with her in my arms.
My legs suddenly gave out and I couldn't bear the weight and I fell to my knees and set my mother down once again before feeling another hand on my shoulder. He helped me up letting me balance on him and another person picked up my mother before carrying her to wherever he was going to put her.
I caught the gaze of the man who helped me up. He wore the bat suit. He smiled at me and although through the pain and the suffering I felt I couldn't help but smile too. I tried to hold back in the fresh layer of tears but slowly they fell and what was most unexpected was the hug I had received from him. The first hug in ten years.
