I ran out of the Walmart as fast as I can while ignoring the stares and looks from everyone. I couldn't handle it anymore. First my dad, now Rodney. How does my dad expect me to react? What am I supposed to tell my mom? I can't take this anymore.

I go outside into the cold air. As I breathe hard I can see my breath in the air. Does anyone even care about me at this point?

This night can't get any worse.

"Hey faggot how's your boyfriend....or should I say how was your boyfriend" three guys from my school shout riding a bike. They drop their rundown bikes that they probably stole and walk up to me.

"I asked you a question fag" Mariano, the leader of the group, says poking my chest.
"Yeah he asked you a question and Mariano don't like being ignored" his friend says.
"Shut up Zack I'm doing the talking here"

"What are you doing outside this Walmart? Waiting for mommy and daddy to pick you up?"

"I-i need to get home"

"Aw looks like fairy boy bouta cry"

"How bout we cheer em up eh boys? Mariano says.

"Yeah that sounds like a plan" Zack says.

I hear someone call my name. It's getting louder and louder.

"SHANE" my dad shouts louder as he spots me.
"Oh your daddy come to save you?" they laugh.

"Son I was looking everywhere for you"
"I don't want to speak to you dad you're dead to me"
"Ooooo" the boys say.

"Let's just go home we could watch a movie and maybe get some fo-"

"I'm not going home with you dad" I say trying not to yell at him.

"This is the last time I'm going to say this, get in the car now. We're going home" he says angrily.

"Fuck off I'm not leaving with you."

"Like hell you are" he grabs me by my arm and walks me to the car as I try to get away but his grasp is just too tight.

"Now son since I've had a couple drinks I think it would be better if you drove"

"Whatever "dad"" I say using air quotes.

I get in the car and blast the music all the way so I could at least ignore the fact that my dad is a complete piece of shit.

"Woah lower this music down how are you gonna concentrate?"

"I'm concentrating just fine" I mumble.

I continue driving fast to avoid being in complete awkward silence.

"Shane you're driving a little fast don't you think?"

"I know how to drive dad"

"Okay Shane it's just you're going twenty over the speeding limit you don't wanna get a ticket"

"Stop controlling my life okay I know what I'm doing and I know how to drive I've been doing it for two years." I roll my eyes.

"SHANE BRAKE"
