Chara was walking through the ruins. It seemed darker than usual. "Something's off about this place. It feels... empty." As soon as Chara said that, a terrified monster jumped out of the darkness seeking refuge. Chara caught up to the monster and asked what was wrong. The monster could barely be understood due to all the crying and panic kn its voice. "Hey. Hey! Calm down and tell me what's going on." The monster was to afraid to stop and think, and Chara has had just about enough of its annoying cries. "If you won't tell me..." Chara stabbed and killed the monster with ease. "I'll just find someone who can." She continued walking through the ruins and noticed a few piles of dust scattered around. "I swear I reset completely. Maybe something changed? The timelines are really sensitive to that kind of stuff." She got to Toriel's house and looked around. "That's odd. Everything seems normal here, but everything before I got here was different. Something's definitely wrong." Chara went to the kitchen and grabbed one of the knives and got ready for anything as she walked down the stairs. When she reached the exit of the ruins, Chara saw another pile of dust along with familiar scorch marks along the walls. As Chara observed the room, she noticed scratches on the door. When she got a closer look she could make out the sentence, "You're next."
While Chara kept observing the room, we shift over to snowy. The quiet forests wasn't home to much... but it was much, MUCH quieter than before. It left an eerie feel in the area's atmosphere. It was almost identical to the ruins at this point. If we follow the path to snowdin, we see Sans standing ontop of piles of dust that blend in with the snow. His smile was nonexistent and was instead replaced with a frown. Whether it was of displeasure, anger, or sorrow, I couldn't say. But there was only one person left to kill in the area. Papyrus. Sans had just killing the last few residents in snowdin when Papyrus had showed up and witnessed the murder take place. He was afriad. So afraid. "S-sans? Why did...??" Papyrus knew what had happened, but although he was tempted to run for safety, he knew deep down that it was HIS brother. He had to help him, but how? Sans looked at Papyrus with tired, pitch black eye sockets and the same frown he wore when he arrived. Papyrus just stood there waiting... Analyzing... Thinking. He was trying to put together the puzzle that was Sans' behavior. All of a sudden, Sans had raised his hand and scratched Papyrus's arms and legs with sharp bones. Once the bones had taken their toll, Sans had summoned more bones the launch at Papyrus with high speeds. The bones had hit Papyrus's joints both in his arms and legs yet again. Papyrus was hurt badly, but he wasn't immediately killed or immobilized like Sans had intended. "Why are you doing this?!" Sans didn't speak. He just kept attacking. "I won't fight back! I refuse to!!!" Sans grinned slightly. "That makes my job a whole lot easier." Papyrus was in shock, but quickly replied, "Sans please! You know it's me! Papyrus! I'm your brother!" Sans' grin faded, and the hood on his head hid his eye sockets in a shadow. "I know..." "Then why?! At least give me the satisfaction of knowing why!" Sans put his hands in his pockets. "The human. They'll come. They're gonna kill us all. Its happened over a million times already. I'm sick of being useless. I'm sick of being the weakest. And I'm sure as hell not going to give up on this world. I need L.O.V.E., EXP, DETERMINATION... but I can't get it any other way besides murder." Sans silently stared at Papyrus with shadows still covering his eyes. "It's better to dye by my hand than hers." Papyrus, still badly injured, looked at his brother with fear at first, but then it slowly changed to acceptance. "I-if... you feel as of that's the only solution... I... I support you." Sans slowly took his hand out of his pocket to summon a gaster blaster. "Just know that... whatever happens..." Sans was about to kill Papyrus with the blaster he summoned. "I love you brother." Fired the blaster as Papyrus said this. Papyrus closed his eyes and cried with a smile on his face. Sans was hit by a surge of guilt and tried to make the blaster miss. Instead, the blaster had vaporized half of Papyrus's body, and the other half was dusting quickly. Sans' eyes were revealed in the light and he was too shocked to says anything. Out of everything Sans has encountered, this was definitely the worst thing that's happened him. He's seen everyone die multiple times. He caused the death of one of his friends to end sooner than before. He had experienced first hand what melting into an amalgamation feels like. And yet at this moment, first injuring, then blasting, and finally watching his brother die... he felt more guilt, failure, despair, and emptiness than before. His eye sockets went pitch black and he looked down at the ground. His hood once again covered his eyes with a shadow and smile was still a frown. Sans could hear himself level up, and his stats appeared above him reading,
*Sans LV-5 10 HP 10 ATK 10 DEF ...*
Once the sound had completely faded out, Sans smiled a long, twisted smile and, the shadows were still covering his eye sockets. His left eye was glowing a strong reddish purple with the original light blue in the center, and his right eye was a dark blood red. He let out a soft chuckle at first. "heh... heheh... heheheheh... Hehehehehehe! Hehahahaha! HAHAHA! HAHAHAHA!!!" Sans kept laughing like a mad man for a while. As he laughed, he partially put his hand in his eye socket and got ready to shoot himself with a gaster blaster. His laugh soon died out and he took his hand out of his socket. Tears then started running down his face and his smile was still very twisted. "I-I... I'm going INSANE! Heh... The kid broke me! I broke me..." The blaster was mere seconds before it was ready to fire when Sans decided to dispel it. "It can't end now. The kid is just gonna destroy the world if I die now. I honestly couldn't care less for the rest of the world, but knowing there's a chance at a happy ending... Heh, well it's a risk I have to take. Let's finish the job."
