Cedar followed Agent Ward back to her old room. It's been a while, but she still recognized the halls. "Oh hey, that's where I set off that bomb." She pointed to the discolored drywall surrounded by burn marks and burnt carpet.
"I don't know how I'm supposed to get you out of this Cedar." He shook his head as he stopped outside of her door, "You've got yourself in a pretty deep grave. I volunteered to be your supervisor seeing they don't trust you, but I don't know if I can get you out without risking my position."
Cedar sighed as she worked at the lock, "I know, Grant. You know I wouldn't make you do anything that would get you caught. Right now I'm just praying that Tony and the others at the Tower can help."
"Oh yeah, how's the whole 'Tony is your dad' thing going?"
She whipped around to look at him, "How did you find out about that?"
"I have my sources." He smirked, pushing her door open that she finished unlocking. He followed her into her room and watched her plop onto her bed. He slowly crept up behind her, "You know, in your time here we could pick up where we left off."
Cedar playfully rolled her eyes as Ward laid down next to her, "We never got anywhere, Ward."
"We never officially got anywhere. But there was a connection and you can't deny it." He argued, giving her puppy eyes.
"Fuck you and your gorgeous brown eyes." She sighed and stuffed her head in a pillow, distorting Grant's laugh. Turning back over to face him, she got serious for once, "I just don't know if that's a good idea Grant. With me trying out the whole Avengers thing and you being an active member of Hydra or Hive or whatever your calling it, I don't know if that's the best thing for either of us."
Ward sighed, "Yeah, but when do you ever do the right thing?"
"First of all, fuck you." The two of them laughed, "Second, if I can manage to get out of here without either one of us dying, then I'll let you take me out on a date.... maybe."
Grant sat up with a smile, "I will gladly accept that deal." He pecked her cheek before getting up and pulling her with him, "Now come on, you've got work to do."

"You know, your friends really suck at rescuing you." Grant told Cedar as he bounced a ball against the wall of the room Cedar got locked in to work.
"Yeah well they're kinda always busy." She replied over the sound of the keys of her keyboard being pressed down, "Probably saving the world or something."
"Aren't you Tony's world? Shouldn't he be saving that?"
"Wow, such cute. Very funny." Cedar rolled her eyes. And idea popped into her head making her add, "Hey, where are we?"
Ward spun around to face her, "Why do you wanna know?"
"To send out an S.O.S to them." She redirected her work and opened up new programs and began typing in a new coding language.
"We're in D.C." He replied, scooting closer to her to get a look at what she was doing. He always found her abilities to be fascinating, oh what he'd say if he found out about her true ones. "I'll never understand how this makes sense to you."
"You don't have to. That's why you guys have me... temporarily." She cocked her head, "You know, if you guys weren't evil and all, I'd probably stay."
"Or," He spun her chair to face him, "You could just stay here and pretend we aren't evil. Just a thought. Eventually you'd gain back their trust and maybe even rank up. I could train you and you could become a field agent with me. We could form that relationship that you're being so stubborn about. We could be the modern age Bonnie and Clyde. Think about it." He returned her chair to her desk and spun his to face the wall he'd been bouncing the ball against.
