Bruce kindly asked me to sit on the scary dentist looking chair where wires and straps dangled from various places. I looked at them skeptically, not wanting to be restrained. He caught my uneasiness and patted my shoulder. "We aren't using those. You don't even have to lay down, just sit."
I smiled at his reassuring words. Reluctantly, I hopped onto the seat and dangled my legs like a child. I watched Banner's movements carefully as he gathered a few things from drawers and did some quick typing on his desk top. As soon as he walked over to me with a needle, I jumped from the seat. "Oh hell to the no."
"Don't tell me-"
"Yes, I'm afraid of needles god dammit!" I cut off Tony. He rolled his eyes at me and pointed to my forearm,
"You have an arm piece tattoo! How can you be afraid of needles if you have half of a sleeve?"
"Tattoos are different!" I defended myself. I've always been weird about needles. I'm for some reason fine with them if it has to do with tattoos or piercings seeing I have a few scattered, but when it comes to doctors or anything like that, I freak the fuck out.
"Maybe it's her subconscious remembering her past." Rogers suggested. Tony took it into consideration as he glanced at me.
"Her past?" Bruce questioned. Oh right, he wasn't there for the whole 'here-is-every-little-detail-of-Cedar's-life' story Stark provided the other two Avengers at my apartment. In efforts to stall the insertion of a pointy object in my arm, I decided to take pleasure in providing my life story.
"It all started the day of my conception-"
"Her biological father experimented on her until the age of seven injecting his own serums in her which is what gave her her powers. That's when we busted him and I took temporary custody of Cedar." Tony shortened the lengthy story he knew I was about to give. I glared at him,
"You'll pay for that Starky, you'll pay."
He rolled his eyes at he picked me up and placed me back on the seat, "Maybe another day. We need to get this done so we can see what needs to be done with you."
"I'd be okay if you just Kobe'd me into the garbage disposal."
"Cedar."
"Tony."
"God, she really is a Stark." Steve sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "One is already too many."
"Watch what you say you Fourth of July fucktard." I warned. Tony just about howled in laughter at my on-the-spot nickname.
"I LOVE MY DAUGHTER!"
"Sorry, but I hate to inform you Metal-Man, but you're not the father." I announced in a game show voice. Tony clutched his chest and fell to his knees in agony.
"That cheating wHORE!" He yelled, "I knEW SHE WAS HAVING AN AFFAIR!"
The sighed from the other two men was long and exaggerated. I pity the whole team for now having to deal with two Starks. Looks like the short time I spent with Tony, he really did rub off on me even if he did get wiped from my memories.
"Guys, come on. We have a mission here, let's treat it like one." Capsicle crossed his arms over his chest. Oh annoying him is going to be a joy. Rolling my eyes, I put on a serious face and let them do whatever the hell they needed to do. Let's just say it went a little something like this...
Bruce: *grabs needle*
Cedar: *casually threatens to kill everyone in the room but with style*
