Chapter 2

It's currently 6 months later, October 29th, 2019

Iris POV
It's 12:04 am, I've been up since 11 pm working on my article and searching for employees. I already have about 10 applications to look at, I'm planning on having about 3 employees right now to start. I look at half of them then will look at the rest later. I head to bed and fall asleep cuddled next to Barry.
I wake up at about 9:12 am. Barry still asleep. I head to the bathroom, brush my teeth, then take a shower.

Barry's POV
I wake up at about 9:49 am, Iris is in the shower. I go in the 2nd bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. I finish at about 10:20 am. I go to the bathroom Iris is in. She's doing her makeup. I'm in my towel wrapped around my waist, I'm shirtless hair is wet. I go behind her and kiss her neck, "Good morning beautiful" I say after kissing her neck. "Good morning handsome" she responds. I keep kissing her neck and wrap my arms around her waist. "Barry!" Iris laughs trying to do her makeup, "I need to get ready for work" she says, "But I can't help it" I say. She turns around and kisses me on the lips, "Your hair is dripping wet, your gonna mess up my make up" she laughs. I kiss her one more time, " You don't need it though" I say. "Your so sweet but a woman needs her makeup" she says with sass but playfully. "Okay" I say rolling my eyes in a playful manner. "How's the employees thing going?" I ask, "I have to look at the rest later but I like one of the guys so far, his names Jason, 27, and he seems pretty cool and has some great skills" she says, "Oh, your having guys work with you?" I ask cause I just know they'll try to get with her. "Yeah, why, BABE ARE YOU JEALOUS?" "What NO, why would I be?". Even though I kinda am but I'm happy for her. "Mhmm whatever boy, i gotta get dressed" she says as she walks to our closet. My phone rings it's joe, man, I gotta admit it's taken some time to get used to joe being captain. I put on a white t-shirt and a jacket with some jeans and vans. Iris is done the same time as me. "Okay I gotta go finish looking at the applications at the office" Iris says as she kisses me and leaving,and before she does she says "I love you, and I'll see you for lunch?" "I love you too and of course" I respond " Ok" and she leaves, and shortly after, I run to CCPD.
Iris POV
It's 2:17 pm, almost time for me and Barry to have our lunch date. I finished looking at the applications and I chose my 3 employees, can't wait to tell Barry about it.
Barry's POV

It's 2:20 pm and I start getting the food for me and my wife's lunch date. Works been pretty slow and no metas have been in the city recently, I've been able to spend time with my wife and family so I'm happy... i run over to iris and knock on her office door.

Iris's POV

I hear a knock and I think it's Barry so I open the door and see Barry holding big belly and smiling. He pulls me in for a kiss and holds me by my waist and the pulls back and still holding my waist, "ready to eat?" "Always" I say. We both chuckle and go to sit down. He gives me my food and gets my order right, "Aw babe I'm so proud, you got my order right" " I know, I've learned" we both laugh then kiss. "So... did you choose your employees?" He asked, "Yeah I did, they start next week. I got One male, and Two females, they actually are really cool, I can't wait to meet them next week." "Yay, babe I'm so happy and proud of you, so do I get to meet him- I mean them too?" I laugh, "of course, you can meet them" " ok good" he does his little cute smile and we laugh. After we finish eating we head home and then the rest of the day was relaxing.
A/N- I'm new at this soooo any suggestions? I am planning on doing a Halloween chapter🤭 Should the chapters be longer or shorter???
