The Beginning

6000 years in the past The Garden Of Eden...........

God had created a beautiful paradise for her humans that she created. in the middle of this paradise is a tree, but not just any tree its the tree on knowledge. When God had placed her precious humans in Eden they where give free range they where given only one rule, not to eat the fruit from the tree... That is where this story begins.

A large black and red serpent a rises from the ground slithering up the tree, he slips along a tree branch coiling around the branch dropping to ear level to Eve. The Snake's head whispers into Eve's ear," eat the fruit you wont regret it I promisssssse" he hissed softly to Eve ......With out another thought hand reaches up, and picks an apple from a tree Eve takes a bite. The sweet fruit floods her head with knowledge she smiles wickedly handing the apple to her husband. Adam also takes a bite . . . And then Adam grins lecherously at Eve. That is all it took it change the way mankind saw the world... one snake one apple..

Time has past by a few months....

A rumble of supernatural thunder! An angel in white robes, was holding a flaming sword, gestures impressively towards an exit gate. They have to leave, God was casting them from the garden from breaking her one rule! . . . Eve is pregnant, Adam looks miserable; They are wearing only fig-leaf-based clothes. Aziraphale looks conflicted, ' What should i do... i cant disobey her almighty...but shes already with child....' The Angel thought. After a moment, the angel runs after them, and hands Eve the sword," i'm sorry you cant stay.... its cold here take this... there are dangerous creatures out there.... but god forbid do not let the sun go down on you here!"

The angle saw them off only to come face to face with his female companion," well that was nice of you' she smiles " we need to get back up on the wall" she reaches a hand out to him and he takes it.

A few hours later.....

It was a nice day.All the days had been nice. There had been rather more than seven of them so far, and rain hadn'tbeen invented yet. But clouds massing east of Eden suggested that the first thunderstorm was on its way,and it was going to be a big one. One the Eastern wall of Eden stood to Angels; Aziraphale Principality and Sabriel Angel of the March, the watch as Adam and Eve flee from the garden.

Sabriel feels cool smooth scales run over her foot, she looks down to see a red and black serpent slithering along. when the snake stopped it began transmutes into a male demon . He's dressed in black robes, as opposed to the angel's white robes, and his eyes look like the eyes of a snake. Crawley's wing feathers are black ; Aziraphale's and Sabriel's are white.

"Well that went down like a lead balloon...." the Serpent mumbled

Sabriel raised an eyebrow to the Demon," what was that?" she asked confused

Crawly spoke" I said , 'Well, that one went down like a lead balloon".

She smiles at him," Oh. Yes, it did, rather." something about his eye where drawing her in she had to look away, they where captivating almost like he new who she was.....

The serpent turned to the angel," Bit of an overreaction, if you ask me. First offence and everything. And I can't see what's so bad about knowing the difference between good and evil, anyway?"

Aziraphale's eyes lit up slightly," It must BE bad, Crawley. Otherwise you wouldn't have tempted them into it. "

"They just said, 'Get up there and make some trouble" he shrugged.

"Obviously. You're a demon. It's what you do!" Sabriel smiles at the ginger serpent

"Not very subtle of the Almighty, though. Fruit tree in the middle of a garden, with a 'don't touch' sign. I mean, why not put it on top of a high mountain or on the moon? Makes you wonder what God's really planning." Crawley looked at the female angel and returned the smile, her heart spiked a beat.

"Best not to speculate. It's all part of the Great Plan. It's not for us to understand. It's ineffable."

"The Great Plan's ineffable? " asked Crawley

" Exactly. And you can't second-guess ineffability. There's Right and there's Wrong. If you do Wrong when you're told to do Right, you deserve to be punished. Er. "Aziraphale stopped for a moment looking up," I don't like the look of that weather". Low rumble of non-supernatural thunder on the horizon.

Crawley" Didn't you have a flaming sword? "

Aziraphale" Er . . . "

Crawley "You did. It was flaming like anything..... What happened to it? "

Aziraphale "Er . . . "

Crawley" Lost it already, have you? "

Sabriel laughed at her companion," He gave it away!"

Crawley "You what?"

" he did in fact gave it away" she smirks nudging the angel

Aziraphale They looked so miserable. And there are vicious animals, and it's going to be cold out there, and she's expecting already, and I said, here you go, flaming sword, don't thank me, and don't let the sun go down on you here . . . I do hope I didn't do the wrong thing.

Crawley shrugged" Honestly you're an angel. I don't think you can do the wrong thing". Aziraphale does not notice the sarcasm, But Sabriel picks it up meeting Crawley's smile

Aziraphale "Oh. Thank you. It's been bothering me". In the distance, Adam uses the flaming sword on some poor lion. Aziraphale winces.

Sabriel frowns," does he really have to kill it for no reason? he could have just left the poor lion alone its already stuck in a desert..." she frowns, Crawley pats her shoulder gently she trying to ignore the warmth that filled her from his touch.

Crawley face went expressionless, " I've been worrying too. What if I did the right thing, with the whole eat-the-apple business? A demon can get into a lot of trouble for doing the right thing." he turned to them both" Would be kinda funny if we both got it wrong, eh? If I did the good thing and you did the bad one."

The three of them laughed, it finally clicked in Aziraphale's brain what Crawley said, he gasped," No! Not funny at all!"

The thunderstorm begins in earnest, Crawley stepped under Sabirel's and Aziraphale's wings to stay out of the holy water rain storm.

Hey guys i hope you like the start of my fanfic. sorry that the start is pretty much a carbon copy of the original story i have big plans for this story and i hope you can bare with me to get past the slow stuff! hope you enjoy the first chapter! the second one will contain a lot more original content i promises!!!
