Chrono x Tokoha

Future time

After the defeat of Gyze,and marrying the girl of his life Tokoha,he never thought that his life could get any better.

Growing up in a rough childhood,he never had any parental figure that he would call "Mom" or "Dad" in his life.Everyday in the orphanage,it was just children his age having fun and also some fights that occasionally broke out during his early childhood.He didn't really seem to care all that much.Just another bystander is what he calls himself.Everyday was just the same to him,the plain old day when everyone had to do roll call and did whatever activity it was scheduled in.He felt more like a prisoner inside than anything.But he couldn't do anything about it since he was still too young.He knew that he has an aunt but she was still too young to even take him out of the orphanage.So he was bohnd to the orphanage until the aunt was legal to take him in.

Fast forward a couple of years and he was marrying the girl he never thought it would be possible at all,Tokoha Anjou.Truth to be told,he never saw the day coming that he would be standing in front of a crowd,looking towards the girl he loved so much and getting a chance to be with her for a very long time.It was,to the very least,the best days he ever lived in his life.But there was more to come.

Both Chrono and Tokoha moved out to live together in their new house.This was a new chapter in life for them.Instead of relying on their parents,they would have to live their own lives independently.The first few months was a little rough for them,but they slowly gotten used to it and was able to cope up well their careers as well.Both of them were feeling a little nervous with each other when they were sleeping together.They couldn't get used to it within the first few couple of months.Bags were under their eyes as they walk to meet up with their friends the next day.

"What happened to you Chrono?You look like you haven't gotten any rest in a week.You too Tokoha."Shion asked.

"It's only been a day but yeah,we haven't.You don't want to know the reason why."Chrono replied to the blonde.

"Anyways,let's all have a quick meal and catch up all the things we done in these few months shall we?"The blinde turned to the two.

"Yeah,sounds good."The red hair replied.

They went to a nearby restaurant which the Kiba family owned and it was a grand spectacle to see.It was like going to a high class party.Both Chrono and Tokoha weren't very comfortable with it but they don't really have any choice.They sat down in one room where they could have some peace and quiet to talk about how their lives went within tbese few months.

Shion's business was going great and tbey had just signed another contract deal with another big company.Tokoha was still trying to playvanguard competitively and had some success in that regard.Chrono,on the other hand,was more of a freelancer than anything than ever.He didn't havea specific job he wanted to do so he just did all this in the meantime.All was going well until Tokoha started to feel a little nauseous and felt like she wanted to vomit.Shion called up the ambulance to take her to the nearest hospital in hopes that she will be all right.

The hospital was a busy place in the morning and it wasn't easy finding a doctor available to check up on the green-haired.It was tough but they managed to find one and gave her a check up.Chrono was anxious about the results,he jsut wished that his wife is safe and nothing was going to happen to her.The doctor allowed the Shion and Chrono to enter the room and was prepared for the worst.

"Don't worry Mr Shindou.She isn't in a critical condition.All she needs now is just a good rest and all will be fine."Chrono heaved a sigh of relief that the news wasn't bad.

"If she didn't have any illnesses,then why was she vomitting just now."Shion asked.

"From what I understand,it seems that she has a tiny heart beating inside of her womb when we did an ultrasound test."The doctor replied.

"Wait,so that means..."

"Congratualations to you,Mr Shindou.You're going to be a father."

Those words struck him.Never had he had the thought of becoming a father.He was overjoyed of the news but he really wonders whether he could become a good father for the child.Growing ul without any parental figure was hard on him.But he has the determination not to let his child become fatherless just like he was.

Once he went to the ward,he saw Tokoha looking towards him and smiling upon his arrival.He walked towards her and give a small kiss to her cheek.

"I guess you already found out I was pregnant didn't you?"Tokoha asked.

"Yeah I did.Why didn't you inform about this earlier?"The red-hair questioned.

"I wanted to give you a surprise,that's why."She replied,smiling.

"Next time don't scare me like that again."

"I won't.I promise."

That was one of the best days that Chrono ever lived his life.He never thought that he,out of all people,would become a father.The responsibilities were on him but he was prepared to take it.

Fast foward a couple of years later,a small child with a red swirly curl on his head ran out of room as he hears the door click.

"Father!"He screamed,leaping out to give him a hug.

"He really misses you Chrono.Couldn't your work release you earlier?"The figure turns towards the voice and saw Tokoha with an apron on,preparing to cook dinner for the family.

"Sorry honey.Work is work after all.I can't just abandon my work to see my family.That wouldn't be responsible now would it?"The figure replied.

"Yeah I understand.Just try to be around more often all right?Are you sure you aren't overworking yourself too hard,Chrono?"Tokoha asked.

"Yeah,I'll be fine.It will take more than that to break me down."Chrono replied.

"Father,when are we going to cardfight again?"The son asked.

"Don't worry Arata.After dinner all right?"Chrono pat the head of the younger one.

"All right father."Arata Shindou smiled and went back to his room to take his deck out.

Chrono saw the back of his six-year-old son,knowing that he would now be a better father than his dad ever was.That was the promise he kept to Tokoha and himself.
