Chrono x Tokoha

Maybe its time pt 2

"How long will I be able to keep this up for?"Chrono thought to himself as he was facing against his final opponenet that was standing in his way,Kai Yamazaki.Both fighters were heavily injured and tired from the prolonged fighting.Controlling his breath,Chrono decided to charge in one last time.

Flashback

Chrono was in the break room in the arena provided trying to get himself ready for the matches.Washing his face and streching,he did all the necessary before heading out in his first match.

Chrono hears the door knocking before he allowed the person to enter.That person was Tokoha's brother,Mamoru Anjou.

"Chrono,I need to have a word with you.Is it fine that I take a little bit of your time?"Mamoru asked the redhead.

"Yeah I still have time before I need to head out.So what is it Mamoru?"Both Chrono and Mamoru sat down on a couch before Mamoru broke the silence.

"Look Chrono,if this gets too tough for you,forfeit.I know it's a little selfish of me trying to tell you this before the first match even started but I want you to promise me that you will return with minor injuries."Chrono looked at him confused before Mamoru continued talking what he wanted to say.

"I know that you do it for the association but if anything happens to you,I don't know how I should answer to Tokoha.I know that the two of you long enough to know that you two love each other.So that's why I want you to keep your promise to her that you will return to Japan safely.It doesn't matter if you win or lose,I just want you to be able to give my sister the happiness she needs."

Chrono looked down and his hands and clenches into fist,reminiscing of the times he had with Tokoha.He then looks at Mamoru,promising to keep his promise he made with Tokoha.Mamoru smiles before sending Chrono to the arena.

Flashback end

Chrono gave a final jab to Kai's side before Kai fell down on one knee.The referee stopped the fight and announed Chrono as the winner.Chrono continued to breathe heavily as he looked around the arena,with a smile on his face.He raised his fist to the sky filled with relief on his face before he blacked out and fainted in the arena.Mamoru ran towards Chrono and called the ambulance.Many attempts to try and wake him up but to no avail.He prayed that Chrono would be all right.

In the ward

A bright light shone in front of his face while he was still unconscious.Being distracted by it,he opened his eyes to find himself in an unknown place.He tried to get himself up but he felt that he was tied down by something.He turned to his left to see a sleeping figure with the head on the bed.Chrono couldn't see clearly who it was as it was facing the other direction.It had long green hair and it looked like it was a female.Somehow Chrono knew that the person looked familiar.He tapped on the shoulder but she was somewhat still in her dreamland.Chrono slowly got up,trying to not disturb her,and went towards the bathroom.Looking upon himself on the mirror,he wondered if it was all a dream.The matches,the victories and the injuries he sustained during those times.Pinching one of his wounds,he groaned a little before confirming that all of those were real.He still can't believe that he managed to win the whole tournament and saved what he loved best,the vanguard association which gave him everything he never knew needed.

Chrono hears a little groan back in his ward and slowly limped towards the sound.Eyes wide opened as he would have never guessed who it was resting on the bed just now.

It was the love of his life,Tokoha Anjou.

Tokoha slowly woke up in a sleepy state,opening her eyes to see Chrono was not on bed.She frantically turned around to find him until she had her eyes met with Chrono's.All he could do is to smile awkwardly at her,not knowing what to do.Tears filled her eyes as she rushed towards him and gave him a hug.Chrono was taken aback but went in to return the hug.

"Don't ever do this to me again!You know how worried I was when you were out for a week?Please promise me you will never do anything this dangerous again!"Tokoha cried out while she was still in his arms.All Chrono could really do in that situation was to speak a few words that came into his mind.

"I'm sorry Tokoha for worrying you like that.I can promise you that I won't do it again."

Breaking up the hug,Chrono looked into Tokoha's eyes.Deep into her beautiful brown eyes and lifted up her chin.Chrono went in slowly for the kiss and soon did Tokoha as both of their eyes closed while letting their lips touch.The kiss may be short,but it was one of the best moments in their lives.

Breaking from the kiss,Chrono looked at her smiling and whispered softly into her ear,

"Thank you,for everything you have done for me.I love you."

Tokoha returned the smile with one of her own,and giggled a little.

"You don't have to tell me again.I love you too Chrono."

Both came to a standstill,without any distraction.Those were the moments where Chrono truly felt loved.After the longest time without any love from his parents.The only one he could count on was his aunt Mikuru.Even then,she would also have no time for Chrono anyways.But now it was different.Chrono finally knew how to love and never will he ever let go of the moments that are important to him.That is a promise he made to himself and to Tokoha.
