Why it hurts so bad

The stars would still shine,
even if our ways were parted.
And the moon would still glow,
even if the light you saw in me had died out.
Even then, the earth would still orbit,
even if the gravity that made me fall for you disappeared,
But the stars would shine a little bit darker,
and the moon would glow a little bit lesser,
and the earth would orbit a little slower.
And maybe that's why it hurts so bad,
because the star couldn't shine without the light,
the moon couldn't glow without the reflection of the light,
and the earth couldn't orbit without the path
the sun gives.
Because you are the sun, the centre of the universe,
the giver of light, of hope
and of love.

And maybe that's why it hurts so bad.
