"So, what were the rumours like?" Reaper asked, staring at a large wilted flower, not caused by him for once. Error glanced at him, before walking past him, his footsteps not heard since he was wearing slippers.

"Apparently some random dude was murdered here, and came back as a ghost to kill the murderer. And he mistakes any person as the murderer, so he kills them." Error replied, Reaper only chuckled.

"Ah, dark humor, my favourite. Any more?"

"A mom lost her little girl here and came back to find the girl all mangled and terrible looking, so she noped outta there. Legends say you'll see her at night, still looking for her momma." Reaper laughed, Error's descriptions not really serious, emphasizing the fact that he didn't believe them.

"Tell me more."

"Okay, jeez. Uh, three brothers were playing by a pond, two of them wanted to play a game and yeeted the third one in the pond. He couldn't swim, blah blah blah; he drowned, the other two didn't know. They left his dead body there and eventually died in the forest due to something."

"What something?"

"I dunno man, dysentery? What do you want from me?!" Reaper grinned, floating towards Error as they travelled further down the path. They were exploring the haunted side of the forest, since neither of them had anything to do; and they were bored.

Reaper and Error had met randomly, in the forest. Reaper was exploring and had stumbled upon Error, and Error lived in the forest so of course he was there. Originally, Error had told Reaper to go away, but after a few times of seeing each other, they eventually started talking. They didn't talk about themselves at first, only shared jokes and laughed about stupid stuff.

Well, they came across certain topics that made them learn about each other. Like how Error has two other brothers, Reaper's never met them, or how they both have animal forms. Compared to most monsters with animal forms, Reaper felt over powered. He was a raven, and could summon a giant scythe as a weapon. He also had the power to float slightly without his wings, he abused that a lot. As well as being able to kill anything he touches, don't worry; he can activate it at will. That would be terribly dangerous if he didn't have control.

Back to the best bros, they became like that after about two months, and now it's been two years. Which was great, considering they both needed friends that weren't scared of them. Reaper doesn't know if Error ever told his brothers about him, but he didn't really care. Error was always secretive and uptight so he probably didn't.

Reaper was looking around, the trees were all hunched over, as if ready to attack the two. Everything was a bit barren, no animals near. If there were plants other than trees, they were dead or dying. Shrivelled bushes and flowers stood along the path. The path itself was littered with broken branches and twigs. It was silent, the only sound coming from Error as he stepped on the dying nature of the path. He stared off in boredom.

"Man, this was a bummer."

"Well, that's only because we've been going for what, five minutes?" Error groaned, glancing off again. Reaper only smiled, looking around for anything seemingly interesting. Which was basically nothing. A chilly breeze blew around them, carrying crumpled dead leaves in its wake. It didn't effect the two, as they were skeletons.

"What are your brothers like?"

"Huh?"

"You've mentioned them before, but you never really talk about them."
