It was late at night, as Horror made his way across the streets; his 'buddy' trailing behind him. They snuck around in the shadows, avoiding everyone that walked along. Whether it was good or bad to be walking around at night in a city, Horror didn't know. Well, his buddy knew; as they had insisted not being seen and going around at night. He didn't mind, everyone had their reasons. Well, he did like snooping in people's business. One of the very reasons he was on the run, he had interjected with a 'company', let's call it that; and now they wanted him dead for knowing their plans.

Not like he regretted it, since it infuriated them. Also, life was thrilling like this, no place to call home; no problems. He was free. And hungry, he was also hungry.

His buddy was...well, he was mysterious. Horror wasn't even sure if they were male, and they rarely talked. He always had his hood up, covering his face. Always dressed in black, never wanting to be seen. Horror didn't know what he did to be that cautious, but maybe it wasn't that bad and he was just normally like that. They had met each other on the run, but never really travelled together; so this was a first.

But never mind that, they were still going along, being neither seen or heard. Apparently his buddy knew someone that could help keep them safe and hidden for a good while. There was no information shared, but that made sense. If it was a trap, Horror knew how to fight back, and his companion was aware of that.

Horror always carried around his lucky axe, despite having an animal form that could easily be considered dangerous. He was a large serpent, with large venomous fangs that had impaled a couple of people in his way. Even when he wasn't in his snake form, if he bit something, or someone, the wrong way it wouldn't end well. Being a huge snake also gave him a big appetite, which didn't help him in his current situation. But he could simply chomp literally anything and consider it food.

One time he downed a drink he had found, only to have been informed it was poisonous. It didn't work on him, his body could easily take it. In fact, it only made him stronger; so that was fun. Apparently some people of the 'company' were hoping to gang up on him, since it was paralysis poison. Obviously they were quite shocked to realize it didn't even work on Horror. Those people were no longer alive, due to personal reasons.

The moonlight gave off a gleam, while the stars weren't visible due to the streetlights that stood on the edges of the sidewalk. Horror was felt being tugged along by his buddy, ushering him over to a small hidden house that was barely noticeable. It looked like every other house, except it was dull and dark, almost as if it was trying to get the least attention; which was working.

They walked up to the front, his buddy giving a little set of rhythmic knocks; like a secret code. After a while, Horror heard footsteps, and then the sound of a bunch of locks being undone. The door slightly opened, while a skeleton poked his head out, before recognizing them and opening the door fully. He had his hood up, and was wearing a very similar style of a hoodie to Horror's, except it was a dull blue (Horror's is black right now). Black shorts, pink slippers, a bit of a casual look to him. His clothes were dusty, though it didn't seem to bother the skeleton. His right eye sockets had a fully red pupil, while his left one had a blue one with a red ring around it.

"Welcome to my humble abode, strangers, my name is Dust." He smiled, it was lopsided and oddly charming. Dust's voice was a little raspy, but he didn't seem to be bothered with the visitors. While Horror's buddy only scoffed as the two walked in.

"You know me, but this is Horror." Horror put his hand up, as if doing a motionless wave.

"Sup." Dust eyed the hole in his head, but didn't ask. Good move.

He then turned towards the seemingly nameless skeleton, who had already sat on the two seat couch in his living room.

"Do you have it?" His buddy shushed Dust, pointing to Horror, as he closed the front door.
