"Thanks for the ride, Harold." I say throwing him a dime. My mum would beat me, if she found out that I give our workers money. But I think they deserve it. My parents don't pay them enough, for all of the things they do.

"Briar you are always so kindhearted... Remember to have fun." He tells me, with a bright smile. I feel bad for him. He had to leave his family back in Brighton, to serve my family. He's the only source of income his family have, so he had to move with us, so when he gets his payment he's going to send it to his wife.

I jump out of the carriage, with my basket on my arm. I told Harold to set me off, not to far away from the school, but not that close, cause I didn't want people to give me weird looks.

"Diana don't you think it's beautiful day. Marilla let me take some biscuits with me to school. they taste utterly scrumptious." I turn around and find two girls walking at the side of the road. One of them have bright orange hair, very thin and without any curves. She must be the one who just spoke, cause the bubbly voice and enthusiasm fits well to her looks. She's different, but pretty. The other girl has beautiful black raven hair, her dress is very pretty, but I can't help but feel embarrassed, I may have overdressed. Harold is already far gone, and I'm left all alone all embarrassed.

"Anne look

"Anne look. Isn't that dress beautiful." The other girl says, and it takes some seconds before I realize she's talking about my dress. They walk over to me, both of them smiling.

"My greetings. I'm Briar Rose Harrington." I say as I curtsy.

"Are you some kind of royal, if so I'm princess Cordelia." The red haired girl almost screams, she's really energetic, but nice.

"I'm not a royal. But are you really a real princess?" I ask kindly.

"She's actually not a princess, we just like to pretend we are. Hello I'm Diana. I've heard off your family before. Didn't you just move into that big mansion?" Her voice is sweet and calm. Contrary to her red haired friend.

"We just moved in yesterday. It was my great great grandfathers." I tell them.

"Well then were neighbors. Anne lives very close to. So maybe we can come over for tea some day." I guess I've just made some new friends.

"Your dress is just beautiful, and your shoes too. And your hat, and your hair is such a pretty color, I wish my hair was as blond as yours." The girl named Anne yacks. She's really talkative, and I almost didn't hear what she said because she talks so fast.

"Oh thank you. Your hair is a delightful color too. And your eyes are a beautiful ocean blue." I complement her back. Everyone is beautiful, somebody just can't see it, so someone has to remind them.

"Are you going to Avonlea school?" Diana asks, as we begin to walk. "I am. I figure you two also go to Avonlea school?" I hope my guess is right, or else I'm getting more embarrassed than I already am.
