Victoria

She skidded to a stop, almost a mile from the cave. Victoria was marking her territory. No one, human or not, would enter the circle unless they wanted to die. She would make sure of it.

Feeling satisfied, she quickly made her way back to Bella. Over the week, she started to feel protective over the frail human, even more so now. Something was wrong with her, well her wound. They didn't know what was wrong with it, and it was starting to worry the vampire.

Bella was laying on her back, using her sweatshirt as a pillow, only wearing a dirty tank top and sweats. She was drenched in sweat, and breathing heavily. She slowly turned to the vampire, and smiled weakly.

"Still not feeling better?" Victoria asked, kneeling down to have her drink some water.

"No," Bella croaked. "It really hurts, Vic."

Victoria lifted Bella's shirt and carefully removed the bandage to look at the damage. Bella's wound was red, and extremely swollen. Cursing softly, Victoria replaced the bandage and looked at Bella.

"I'm going see if I can find anything to help you, okay?" When Bella nodded, Victoria casually leaned in to kiss her head, shocking the both of them for a second. "Stay here."

"Not like I can go anywhere," Bella muttered, watching as she ran off.

Bella didn't want to admit it, but the vampire was staring to grow on her. For the first time in months, she felt safe. Victoria always made sure she was comfortable; she never touched her without permission but now Bella was getting use to her touch. She wasn't sure how she felt about that.

Clenching her teeth when a wave of pain hit her, Bella turned to her side to sleep off what she was feeling. Her feelings for Victoria, and the way her body was feeling.

Victoria stepped over the now drained body, casually walking down the empty sidewalk. It had been a while since she hunted so being around Bella was starting to get painful. Although, being away from her was worse.

She stopped by the hospital again, catching a fresh scent of the vampire this time. Her instincts were telling her to leave this place, to come back later, but Bella needed more medicine...more food as well.

Victoria didn't realize how hard it was to take care of one human.

She quickly ran through the hospital, staying clear of the vampire through her run. She made it with any sight of them.

When she made it back to the cave, she got worried when she saw Bella not moving. But her steady heartbeat and shallow breathing calmed her nerves.

Placing the new items near the duffle bag, Victoria sat next to Bella and put her hand on the girl's forehead. Bella sighed in her sleep, either from the sudden temperature change or know that Victoria was there, but Victoria was fine with either decision.

As long as Bella was okay.

Carlisle was in his office, a scowl on his face. She was back, the vampire. But once again, no one was hurt yet her scent was everywhere. Alice still hasn't seen anything of her so Carlisle was hesitant on what to do.

He picked up his phone, and pressed on one of the contacts.

She picked up seconds later.
"Yes Carlisle?"

"Rosalie," he said in greeting. "I need you to do me a favor."

"What?"

"A vampire has been in the hospital recently, and I trust you to find her," he explained. "She hasn't hurt anyone yet, but I'm not taking that chance."

She's not a tracker, but Rosalie is great at finding people. Almost like a second talent.

Rosalie didn't respond for a few seconds, but sighed heavily. "Okay, fine. I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you, Rosalie." She only hummed before they hung up. Taking a deep breath, he walked out to continue his job.

It was only an hour later when Rosalie found herself following the scent from the hospital. The smell kept getting stronger, so she figured she was close. Rosalie started to run more carefully when she realized she entered a new territory.

Victoria slowly looked up when she heard running feet. Someone was here. She got up to quickly pack everything before she remembered something. Bella was too injured for her to move.

"Dammit," she whispered. Victoria slowly got out of the cave when she heard the steps come closer.

A deep growl rumbled in her throat, only as a warning. She walked outside, her eyes scanning the grounds. Soon, a tall blonde with strange gold eyes came from behind a tree. Victoria growled louder when she took a step closer.

"Leave," she warned.

She didn't answer. Her eyes drifted towards the cave, but Victoria blocked, growling once more.

"Leave. Now."

"What are you doing here?" The woman asked, glaring at Victoria.

Victoria didn't get to answer. A weak call of her name made both of them look to the cave. Her face softened and she started to make her way to the noise but the other vampire moving stopped her.

"Was that a human?" She asked curiously.

Victoria sighed, giving her a pleading look. "Just leave. Please."

"Vic," Bella said louder.

Not sparing another glance at, the blonde, Victoria dashed into the cave to check up on her. She didn't look any better.

"I know someone who can help her," the voice outside said, gaining Victoria's attention. "I can promise you he won't hurt her."

Even though she didn't want to, Victoria had no choice but to trust her. "Fine. Take me to him."
