Chapter 1

Life Together

I have read many Valdaya stories that I thought that I would give it a try myself and write one. So go easy on me as this is my first Valdaya story. It will be an on going story. It takes place during the current season of Dancing with the Stars season 19. Val and Zendaya are openly dating with the support of their family and friends. 

This is a story about how I would like things to happen. I don't own anything just the plot line of the story. Let me know what you think.

Chapter One

The new season of DWTS has started with Val being paired with Janel Parish. Val and Zendaya have been officially dating since her 18th birthday. What the press doesn't know is that it started before that.

It's movie night on DWTS and Val learns that he has to choreograph a West Side Story themed dance but it can't look like West Side Story.

Val is sitting outside the dance studio having just hung up with the producer he was talking to when his phone started ringing again. Without looking to see who it is he answers it a bit too harshly, "What now!" he says.

The caller just happens to be Zendaya. She is calling to check on him. "Well Mr. Crabby pants is that any way to talk to your girlfriend?" she asks.

Val snaps to an upright sitting position from being bent over from his previous call, upon hearing the voice of of his girlfriend on the other end of the phone. "Oh snap! baby I am so sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I am just stressed out about the dance for this week." Val says.

Zendaya sighs hearing the distress in his voice. "I can help you with that and get you to cheer up grouchy pants. Just lok out at the parking lot in front of you.: She says.

Val's head snaps toward the parking lot to see his girlfriend walking toward him to find that she is not alone. She is holding the leash of his dog Sir Sleep. A wide grin spreads across his face as he rises to his feet to greet them.

"Hey babe, thanks for coming, this is a great surprise." Val says. He leans in and kisses Z.  Sir Sleep barks at Val and Z as they kiss. They both smile into the kiss as they break away. Val bends down pets Sir Sleep's head. Sir Sleep rubs his head against Val's knee. This causes Val to smile.

Val can't help but think that these two in front of him are so very important to hem and never fail to cheer him up.

Val stands up and leads them over to where he was sitting. Sir Sleep lays down by Val's feet. Z sits down across from him and reaches out takes hold of his hand.

"So what is it that is stressing you out babe?" Z asks.

Val sighs and squeezes her hand before answering, "It's just this dance for movie night we have West Side Story but the producers say that it can't look like West Side Story."

Zendaya and Val sit and talk about what he should do when he seems to be getting some great ideas for the dance. 

This is just the start of the season when Zendaya knows there will be plenty of dances that require that close, passionate, sexy, romantic type of feel. She has seen enough of his routines with other partners that a dance can look passionate and whatever without the two dancers being a couple off the dance floor. That doesn't mean that she likes watching her boyfriend dance those kind of dances with other women but Val has made it clear to her that she is the one he loves more than anything else. 

Val eventually says he has to get back to rehearsal. He invites Z to watch for a bit. Z of course says yes having already met Janel. 

They get to the studio where Janel is waiting. She and Z talk briefly before Z takes a seat of the floor against the wall to watch how their dance is coming. So after an hour or so of watching them she announces that she has to go and do a few interviews.

Val and Janel stop dancing and walk over to her. Val wraps his arms around her and kisses her head and lips before saying, "So are we still on for dinner tonight?" 

Z smiles and nods, "Pick me up at 7 and you got yourself a date."

Val grins and nods, "7 it is and maybe we can catch a movie as well." 

Z nods in agreement, "That sounds great, I will see you then. I love you."

Val smiles and leans in and kisses her on the lips for what feels like 5 minutes. The need for air becomes a necessity and they both pull away and smile.

"I love you too and I  will see you tonight." Val says.

Z separates herself from Val and turns to Janel who is sitting against the wall taking a drink from her water bottle. "Your doing great Janel. You have a great teacher. I should know."

Janel smiles, "Thank you."

After saying your welcome to Janel Z and Sir Sleep make their way out of the practice room. As she does she hears Janel say to Val, " I see that you two are official now. You both look so cute together."

"Yes we are and thank you, but lets get back to the dance now." Val says.

Zendaya smiles as she heads out to the parking lot to take Sir Sleep back to Val's and to get ready for her interviews.
