Chapter two

He said he liked me,so why did he do it? A beautiful lady in her late 20's asked tears rolling down her cheeks,they were sitting on a bench in a park.

"Wipe your tears with this,it's his handkerchief a handsome young man said giving her a black handkerchief

The lady collected it as she cry harder .

"Forget about everything,and live as if he died" the man whose name is Fawwaz spoke.

"You don't know when he'll show up again"fawwaz added looking around
the beach

"Please tell him that I will wait for him no matter how long it takes"she cried

"God what are you talking about?"he asked

"You are such a competent woman,so stop being pathetic because of him"fawwaz stated

"You have never loved anyone,have you?" She asked ,the memories of her and Mahir's happy time replaying in her mind,from the very first day they met .

"Emotions that sway your entire life don't come so often"she sobbed

"It's all good then ,you have got memories." He stated

"Yes"she replied

"What a jerk"fawwaz spoke

"How many women will he hurt ?" He
mumbled

"So it wasn't just me?"she inquired now looking at fawwaz

"He told me to give you this message 'he wants you to be happy without meeting men like him" fawwaz said standing up

"He's such a jerk but I love him so much"she whined

"Take care and forget about a jerk like him" he said and walked away.

Fawwaz sighed as he walked to where his two best friends were waiting for him .

"She looks terrible" the other friend Ahmad stated as Fawwaz came into the living room.

Mahir on the other side was busy with his phone .

"Why did you do it?" Ahmad asked

"Just" came his husky voice and continued what he was doing.

"Am really tired of cleaning your mess Mahir,Aren't you tired of playing with girls heart every week" fawwaz asked

He closed his eyes for a brief second before opening it again this time looking directly on fawwaz .

"I never really asked you to do this fawwaz, you choose to do it willingly" he said.

"I just want to let you know that what you are doing is not good,just imagine someone breaking Fatima's heart like......." he started but was cut off by Mahir

"Please stop fawwaz,I don't want to listen to your lectures this evening" he stated standing up as he pick his car key .

He ambled out and Ahmad looked at fawwaz ,"Just let him be Fawwaz" he said and followed Mahir ,but could not find him.

MAHEER

Maheer on the other side was walking toward his car when he saw a group of 4 young ladies all dressed in jeans and kimonos

The girl in black top ,black jeans and a royal blue kimono was the one who caught his attention,she was laughing with her friends as they talk about random things .

He smirked walking to their direction.

"Aslamu alaykum" he said standing beside the girl "Yasmin" .

"Waalaykum salam"they all answered .

"Can I talk to you"he ask looking at Yasmin .

"No ,we are in a hurry,let's go" she said to her friends and they started walking away while the other girls were like how I wish I was the one he talked to.

Maheer watched with kin as she walked away,she was the first girl to ever decline him and that made him like her more ,he smile to himself before walking to his car ,where he found his two best friends waiting for him.

Maheer walked into their house at exactly 8:30 pm , he was very exhausted and was avoiding everyone,he just wanted to sleep and that's all but luck wasn't on his side as he walked into the living room ,his father Alhaji Abdallah was sitted on a couch looking furious and his mother Hajiya Halima sitting beside him .

"Aslamu alaikum" he greeted .

"Waalaikum salam" his mother answered while his father glared at him .

"Zonan  ka Zauna Maheer" he fumed

He obeyed as he walk deeper into the living room and sat on the fluffy carpet .

"Yanzu fisabillilah Maheer do you think what you are doing is right" his father snapped

"Am really tired of your nonsense ,earlier the father of the girl whom you broke up with came ,he was very angry ,his daughter was going to get married but because of you she cut off the wedding and stopped seeing any other man ,gashi kai kuma sakarai ka yi breaking up the ita" he fumed

"No gaskiya Na gaji ,am going to marry you off ,that's the only way you will get back to your senses ,ache mutum ya kasa gama masters ,always failing ,you are a failure to this family ,bakada aiki sai bin mata ,very stupid" he snapped .

His mother Hajiya Halima who hate the idea of her son being shouted at interrupted.

"Kayi hakuri Alhaji this will not happen again" she started but he cut her off

"This is all your fault halima,you over pampered the children" he spoke .

"Get out of my sight" he hissed at maheer and he obliged ,his head ducked down he stood up and ambled to his room.

He look at his wife who was silent her head down before storming upstairs to his room.
