I'm not going anywhere

Alec POV

As I slowly woke up from another peaceful, dreamless sleep, I felt around the other side of the bed for my sparkly warlock boyfriend. I didn't feel him and got curious. This was the fourth morning I've woken up to an empty bed. I wonder if he's okay. I should probably go see where he is.

Magnus POV

I looked at myself carefully in the bathroom mirror. I looked terrible, the area around my eyes were red and puffy, my hair was greasy and tangled, and my skin looked even paler than usual. I used my magic to make myself look better, so Alexander wouldn't worry about me. He has enough on his plate already. I honestly don't even know why he likes me, but I'm glad he does. I decided to take a shower to help make myself feel better.

I stepped into the shower and turned the hot water on. I let the warm water run over my face and body. I felt very relaxed until I felt something in my throat. It felt hot and it burned. Suddenly, I leaned over on my knees and opened my mouth. I felt something hot, thick, and chunky come out. I looked down and saw red. Just lots of red.

"Oh, shit." I said out loud. I threw the rest of the blood up for a couple minutes until it stopped. Then I stood up and washed myself off. I'm glad Alec didn't hear that, I though as I stepped out of the shower and walked into our shared bedroom.

Alec POV

After hearing the shower click off, I just decided to wait until Magnus got out, he just needs his space for now.

So I waited until I heard a another quiet click, then looked up and saw Magnus standing In front of me in a towel. God he's hot, I thought.
"Hey Magnus, you feeling alright?" I asked him. His head flew up and nodded and quickly. "You sure? Magnus.. please don't lie to me." I said.

Magnus looked up at me with a look of shame on his face. "I'm sorry." He murmurs. " I terrible. I haven't felt like this in years. He says quietly.

"Why didn't you tell me? I'm always here to help you, Magnus. I said sadly.

"I'm sorry darling, I just didn't want you to worry about me, you're already busy enough, running the institute and all," He says and runs a hand through this wet hair. I then noticed that he was still in a towel and dripping wet.

"You should probably get dressed so I can take you to Izzy, she'll be able to help," I said eyeing my sparkly warlock. He nodded as he walked over to grab some clothes from the closet. I should probably get dressed too.

Magnus POV

I walked into my closet and looked around. After 30 minutes of trying on clothes and Alec nagging me, I decided on a sparkly blue button up shirt and black skinny jeans. I did my eyeliner and makeup quickly.

I walked out of the bathroom after doing my makeup and look at my boyfriend.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah." I smiled. We walked out the door, hand in hand, to go see Izzy at the institute.

LE TIME SKIP

We walked into the institute and Izzy ran up to us. She hugged each of us.

"What are you guys doing here?" She asked tilting her head to the side.

"Magnus might be sick." Alec looked down.

IZZY POV

Magnus? Sick? This must not be good. Especially since he's a warlock. The high warlock of Brooklyn, who is very powerful and a good asset. If anything were to happen to him it would ruin Alec.

After checking Magnus, I found out he had some warlock flu. It would go away if treated, but if not it could get worse.

"So, Magnus has some kind of sickness. Like the human flu. Kind of."

Alec looked worried, but tired not to show it. "Can we get rid of it?"'Alec asked.

"Yeah, but it'll take awhile. He should probably just a break from working for awhile. He needs to take the antidote that I gave him. He'll be out in a minute." I replied.

"Thanks again Izzy, love ya." Alec said.

Magnus POV

I grabbed my shirt as pulled it over my head and got ready to leave. I instantly was hit by a wave of nausea. I fell to the floor as my knees gave out. I threw up onto the floor. I tried to say something, but my voice came out rough and hoarse. I lie helplessly on the floor, until I heard the door open.

"Magnus are you okay, you've been in here awhile. I know you like to take yo-. Magnus! Are you okay? Alec get in here now!" Izzy yelled.

Oh no, I didn't want Alec to worry about me. Alexander ran into the room and look at me lying on the floor. I tried to move away from him, but he was faster than me.

"Magnus! Please come here." Alec called walking towards me.

"Magnus, you're getting worse, please I don't want you to die!" Izzy yelled, before clamping her hand over her mouth. Horrified at what she just said.

"He... can die?" Alec said looking at me.

"I'm so sorry Alexander." I said trying to stand up, but failing as my knees buckled under me. Alec came to my side immediately and wrapped his arms around me. I nuzzled my head into his shoulder and pulled him with me to lean against the wall to get more comfortable. I saw Izzy smile sadly at me and mouth the words "I'll be right back" or something like that. Then left the room.

"I'm sorry Alec." I repeated myself, hoping to get one of my favorite goofy smiles in return, but instead saw a very sad and miserable looking face on my boyfriend.

"I don't want you to die." He said plainly, wrapping his arms more tightly around me.

"I promise you Alec, some stupid flu won't kill me.

I'm not going anywhere."
