*Ashtons POV*

We arrived at the concert about an hour early, which i guess gave us pleantly of time for mooching round the mall nearby. I parked the car a bit closer to the mall so we wouldn't need to walk as far. We both hopped out of the car which we parked in the stadium parking lot, and headed towards the mall in an instant. this mall was huge, now when i say that, i mean its like, a super mall, its fucking huge.
I kind of stood there just staring at it for a while - out of shock.

This changed when Thalia started dragging me by the hand inside.

God, girlfriends. Whenever I go shopping with Thalia, she makes me buy her so much. Like, i am a gentleman, obviously I want to buy things for my girlfriend, but she goes way over the top with it all. The little shit. Sometimes I think about breaking up with her, but I know I love her too much.

I was brought back to reality when I crashed into another body. I thought it was Thalia, but my thoughts were changed when I felt a muscular arm wrap around my torso, halting my fall and catching me mid air. This definitely was not Thalia.

I looked up to see who had caught me. I saw blonde hair, styled up into a quiff with impeccable height, brilliant blue eyes and a lo print. It was a boy. A boy who still hadn't let go of my body. I coughed.
"Dude, can you like, let go?" The blonde boy smirked.

"What if I don't want to let you go? What would you do for me to let you go?"

I groaned. "I don't know, punch you?"

This caused mystery boy's smirk to grow, as he let me get up.

"I'll see you later." He winked, leaving me standing there confused as he walked away.
Looking around, I noticed that Thalia wasn't actually with me anymore. I decided to walk about, in hopes of finding my girlfriend.

I've been walking for around five or so minutes, when I turned the corner. I saw a group of about five men, and one girl in the middle of then. I kept walking, thinking nothing of it, until I heard a girly laugh, but I wasn't just any girls laugh. It was Thalia's.

I could feel the anger bubbling up inside the pit of my stomach. I marched on over to the group, pushing my way through. There was one dude with his skanky arms around my girlfriend.

"Why the fuck are your arms around my girlfriend?" I ripped his arms off of her, punching him straight in the jaw. His so called 'friends' had ditched him when I started speaking.

"Ashton!" Thalia screamed. "He was only being friendly! God, why are you such a dick?!" My eyes grew wide at her words. She couldn't be being serious, surely?

"Wait, what?" I asked in confusion.

"I didn't stutter, Ashton! I said, why are you such a dick?!" Thalia rolled her eyes in obvious aggravation.
"Do you honestly expect me, your boyfriend, to not get angry when I see my girlfriend with another mans arms wrapped around her waist? Not only that, but the fact that it's our one year anniversary?

You didn't even open the card I bought for you, you threw it in the bin straight away. How disrespectful can you get?

"Also, I bought us tickets for a Paramore concert so we could remember in how we met, and yet you drag me to the mall so I can buy you more things, even though I've practically bought you the world.
"Then you leave me, and I find you with some mans arms wrested on your waist, and you call ME the dick?" I ranted, anger had now completely taken over my body.

"Over dramatic much" Thalia coughed slightly before laughing.

"I'm done with this shit, we're over, you bitch." I exclaimed, red in the face.

"Finally, I was using you anyway!" She started giggling again. "Also, take your crappy band tickets back, I never liked them anyway. I was only there last year because it was savannahs favourite band and she forced me to go with her.

"And since this is our breakup, I think you should know I've been cheating on you for a little over nine months. Don't get me wrong, The first three months of our relationship was real, but then I started noticing your flaws. Like the way you always want to cuddle with me, I mean, a girl needs her space, And the cologne you wear is repulsive, I was always trying so hard no to choke or gag on the stuff! Also that stupid bandana you wear, you look so immature? Grow up. Anyway, have a nice life, you ugly fucker." She laughed again, sauntering off, hand in hand with the dude from before. I assume this was the man she had been cheating on me with.

I felt something stop inside of me. I crouched down to pick up the Paramore ticket which Thalia had swiftly thrown to the ground. I sighed, walking back to the car with an emotionless expression plastered on my face, but this changed once I reached my car. As soon as I sat down in the drivers seat, a singular year escaped my eye.

I can't believe this actually happened. I had always told myself that Thalia was the one I would marry, the one I would start a family, the one I was going to grow old with.

She told me she loved me, and I said the same to her. But she didn't mean it, when it couldn't have meant more to me. She was my sunshine, my world, my everything, yet to her, all I was was a game to play.

I reached into my pocket to pick out the little box that sat there. I took one last look at the engagement ring as I rolled down my car window. I gently placed my lips against the ring, as if saying goodbye to what could have happened. I started the car, and drove towards the venue. As the car was driving me away from the mall, I threw the engagement ring out of the window.
