Chapter 7: Prolonged Wait

       I woke up to yelling and shouting coming from the hallways. I looked at my phone to see it was 4:51 in the morning. I got up quickly knowing today was important. I walked out my door looking in the mirror first. "YOU HAVE TO, THE MORE TIME WE SPEND THE LESS TIME WE HAVE TO SAVE HER" Trey screamed with a sense of desperation in his voice. I walked closer to examine the scene. "WE CANT GO THAT FAR TO A PLACE I HAVEN'T BEEN BEFORE ITS TOO DANGEROUS" Tim shouted at Trey. I was glad I wasn't in that conversation. "TREY, YOU HAVE TO THINK IF WE GET HURT ON THE JOURNEY THERE WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE OF ANY USE TO HER" Asia chimed in. Trey took made a heavy grunt and punched one of the pillows causing cotton to go everywhere. "we are leaving 5:30 everyone hurry up and get ready I'm not wasting another second" Trey puffed after calming down a little. Me being still confused about what happened, I decided to ask Lily who was sitting on the couch all ready to go. "Lily what was that all about?" "The thing with Tim powers is he can teleport places he's never been before but there is always a high risk than going to places he has. Especially taking a lot of people too. Like when he took us to the moon, he had been there before so it wasn't that dangerous for us to go" Lily explained tiredly. I mean it was like 5 o'clock in the morning. "Oh alright, I'm going to go get ready, you should get some snacks for people to eat in the car. We are going to be hungry". "You are smart. I didn't even think about that".

       We hopped in the car about 20 minutes later after throwing our suitcases in the trunk, we didn't know how long we would be staying. Trey was driving, Asia was sitting in the front seat, Tim and Lily were sitting in the middle passenger's seats, and me and Colton sat in the back. It was a silent car ride except for the music that was playing lowly and me trying to make conversation but each time failing. I just never knew when to shut up.

I started shaking. "Hey, wake up we're here". I open my eyes not knowing I fell asleep. Lights flash into my eyes as they adjusted. Tim, Lily, and Trey were unloading as Asia, Colton, and I went up to the front desk. "Oh hello, how many rooms?" The desk asked. "Three, with Two beds each please". "Ok we have 3 rooms available on the 5th floor! How will you be paying?". Colton walked closer to the lady and spoke "I think you will find that we don't need to pay for our stay". I looked around to make sure no one saw. Sometimes made me feel on edge about it, and I don't know, I kinda liked it. The lady handed us the keys and while the others put our bags on one of those luggage things.

We decided Asia should be in the room with Trey since she usually calms him down. Tim with Lily since they had some "things to discuss" whatever that meant. And me with Colton because why not. We unpacked a little but didn't get too comfortable because we were about to leave again. There were three potential places where they could've been. We had planned on checking them all out that day.
As soon as everyone was settled we were back on the road again. I thought we were going to split up to look at the three places but Asia said it was be safer if we stuck together. The first place was 16 minutes from the hotel. We walked out the car alert and walked the the building to saw...

Trey yelled "Crap" and threw the beams across the room. "We still have two buildings left, we are going to find her". Tim assured him. "Let's go". We hopped in the car and started driving in the next building. This one was about 25 minutes away but with traffic it took about 45.
Eager to stretch my legs as we stopped at the 2nd location. I hopped out with everyone and inched toward the building. We stepped into the building to see...

Empty. Again. There was no sign of the Armory being anywhere near there. "Ughhh" Tim yelled. "Where the hell are they?" Trey asked. "Lets go to the next place. Hopefully third times the charm" Lily pleaded. We jogged back the car once again to see if the next place was the Armory. I felt like this was it. It had to be. We had no other leads. About 50 minutes later we hopped out the car went into the building and looked at this...

Another empty building. Asia dropped down to the floor looking defeated. We looked at each other in silence. Then something then started to ring. It was coming from the box over by the window. Tim ran over to pick it up then put it on speaker. "Hello?" Tim questioned curiously. "This is the Armory, we know you are trying to find us and you will not succeed unless you give us what we want". We looked at each other dying to know what could they possibly have wanted. "Turn over Sage to Us and we will give you back Solace. If not we will kill her". I stood In shock not knowing why they would want me or how they were cruel enough to do this. Everyone looked at me. "Why do you want Sage?" " It doesn't concern you. What should concern you is the fact the Solace's life is on the line. Make a decision then call me on this phone to accept. If you don't call in a week we will kill her". The phone call ends. My blood boils in anger. This is all my fault. If I didn't come into there lives no if this could have happened. I backed away from everyone and yelled out a scream so powerful it broke this windows. Then something weird happened. Instead of the glass falling it stood in the air. Suddenly the glass came running towards me a full speed. "SAGE STOP" Colton screamed. I looked over at him and realized that I was doing whatever was happening. I calmed down to released whatever I was doing so the glass fell into a circle around me. "What the hell was that"? "I think you just found your gift".
