I arrived at school a bit early in hopes to avoid the questions that any curious students might throw my way about what had happened yesterday. It led back to that whole scrutiny thing. I had my fill of it yesterday, and had absolutely no desire to have anybody else try to pry into my private life today.

I parked my truck and walked up to the front doors hoping that they would be unlocked. Thankfully they were. I went inside, quickly found the stairs to my homeroom and made a beeline towards it. Then it happened, my morning was about to become a lot less pleasant.

Amy appeared from out of nowhere and blocked my path to the stairs. I groaned because of all the students that could have started in with the questions about what had happened yesterday, she was the one I was truly hoping to not to run in to. I thought about running away, then decided against it. I figured that I might as well get this out of the way now, before the situation somehow compounded itself.

"What can I do for you, Amy?" I asked, keeping my face and voice a neutral mask of calm, in an effort to show that I was going to be willing to cooperate with her. I scented her, you know, to make sure that she wasn't another illusion. She was definitely real.

"Are all vampires as destructive as you are?" She asked in a hissing whisper.

"What do you mean, exactly?" Already not liking where this conversation was going.

"Do...they all destroy everything and everybody they touch? Or is that just your special way of saying hello?" She asked, wisely finding another word to use instead of 'vampire'.

"Listen girl, what happened yesterday was an accident. At least that's what your brother told me last night. I'm still not entirely sure what the hell happened. But I do know one thing. I didn't destroy anything!" I snapped, trying my damnedest to keep my voice calm.

"My brother keeps having a dream about you. Did you know that?" She asked quietly.

"No." I said, not bothering to hide my shock, "No, I didn't know that."

"For quite a while now, he has been having this dream where he sees you getting captured and turned into a..." She hesitated for a second, "them. He sees you getting attacked by a single male then. Yesterday, that dream came with an alternate ending. You appeared behind him as the dream was ending and told him to find you." She revealed.

"Okay. I'll admit, it's strange." I replied honestly. It was actually no stranger that anything else that had happened lately.

"So by accident or design, he finds you. And then you put him in the hospital where some doctor may stumble onto his secret! Personally, I think he should have left you under the rock he found you under!" She was mad now, and wanted to take her worry out on me.

"Wait just a damned minute!" I said, crossing my arms over my chest. Actually they were under my chest. Have you ever tried to fold your arms over a healthy set of B-cups? I was about to protest my innocence in the matter but Amy cut me off.

"No. You listen to me! If you ever hurt him again in anyway, I'll kick the crap out of you! I don't care if you are a fucking ghost! Nobody hurts my brother and gets away with it! Do I make myself clear?" She practically shouted. Her fists were clenched at her sides and her face was red with rage. Her whole body was shaking with the need to commit physical violence towards me. My respect for her shot up a few levels because she restrained herself. I'm not sure I could have. Or would have for that matter. She was really pissed, and I believe that she meant every word.

"All right. I swear to not hurt your brother." I told her.

Too late, I saw Coach Kellogg walking down the stairs wearing a lecherous grin on his ugly face. I had to get Amy out of here before he could get his filthy paws on her. When he saw me looking, her hurried down the stairs to catch up to us. Shit!
