Lord Kaign sat at the far end of the twenty person boardroom table and watched the giant plasma screen television that hung on the wall. He had the same deep frown carved on his face that had been there since General Alexioff had failed him for the last time.
CNN was airing yet another report on the near tragedy that had taken place in Dodge City, Kansas. The CIA and FBI had concluded that a high-yield, non-nuclear weapon had been detonated in Wright Park. They suspected that a chemical agent of an unknown variety had been involved considering the amount of damage to the trees. They were still unable to determine exactly which chemical agent had been used however. And neither agency could find any clues as to the identity of the human-shaped stain found at the scene. They mentioned that while the investigation was now a month old, nobody had any plans to call it off.
Lord Kaign picked up the TV's remote control and hurled it into the screen. The TV exploded with the sound of shattered glass and the scent of burning circuitry. He roared at the TV as he got to his feet.
"I will kill you, Krimson. And when I do, that night in the park is going to seem like a sweet dream." Lord Kaign vowed quietly.
Lord Kaign stormed out of the Tribunal's boardroom. He wanted to go back to Scholomace and plan Krimson's final days.
