Max had used his restoration spell to fix the house. I told him how grateful I was, but he played it off as though it was no big deal. James and I returned to bed, where I was able to coax another three orgasms from him before he became totally spent. We took a shower together, then went to sleep. I woke up the next morning to find James missing from the bed. I threw on some clothes, then went to find Max. I found him in the kitchen with James cooking up a large breakfast of eggs, pancakes, bacon, hash browns and toast. For once, I was glad that I had become of an age that I could once again, at least in small measures, enjoy food again. It was one of the few benefits of being and old vampire.

After we all had breakfast, James decided that he had better return home and let them know that I hadn't killed him. I agreed, but not before he and I returned to the bedroom and made love one more time. I finally let him go, so that he could get dressed and go show his mother that I wasn't the big, bad vampire she was afraid that I was.

I got another shower, and got dressed in a pair of tight fitting jeans and a clover-green tank top. I put on my favorite pair of bright green satin thong, in hopes that I would get the chance to show them to James. The tank top had a built in bra, so I left the bra that matched my thong in the drawer.

After I get dressed, I went downstairs to watch a little television to pass the time, until he returned. I found a news program about ancient samurai and how they helped tame China during the earlier dynasties. I was only half-paying attention to the show. I already knew how the samurai operated. I had visited China when the samurai were around. They were pretty bad-ass, all things considered.

Without no warning, I began to feel cold, despite the fact that it was at least seventy-two degrees in the house. I rubbed my arms to warm them up, but it didn't help. Then, another thought came to me.

"James, are you okay?" I asked him though our bond.

"I'm not sure. I think I'm being followed. I haven't gone home yet, just in case my suspicions are right." He told me telepathically.

"Just be careful, okay? Your mom would never forgive me if you died." I said seriously.

"I am being careful. I am north of town in a fairly empty area in hopes that I can draw whoever it is out into the open." He told me.

"Can you tell who it is?" I asked.

"I'm pretty sure it's a vampire. But I'm not sure. It's almost noon. Why would any vampire risk killing themselves just to follow me?" He asked me.

"It's because I have some damned powerful enemies. And some of them are capable of becoming wolf-like creatures, while others have some rather ghost-like abilities. I don't like you being exposed all by yourself. Get back into town." I told him.

"Soon. My stalker is very close now." James said reluctantly, "Holy Shit! Did you see that?" He shouted loudly.

I closed my eyes and focused myself until I could see what he was seeing. His car was parked along the side of a dirt road that truly seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. On the far side of the road, stood the biggest wolf that I had seen in quite a while.

"Is that a were-wolf?" He asked me.

"No, it is too small, and the full moon isn't due for another two weeks." I told him. "Wait! James that is one of Alexioff's whores! She is one of those vampires who can turn themselves into a wolf! Get the fuck out of there!" I shouted.

As I watched through his eyes, I saw the would-be wolf crouch down and leap a crossed the road. She got about half way, before she just stopped in mid-air. It took me a second to realize that James had stopped her with his telekinesis. He took a couple of steps towards the floating wolf, and she began to bark and snap at him.

"There hasn't been a true wolf in Kansas for hundreds of years. So forgive me if I tell you that your disguise sucks ass." I heard James say to her. "Now why don't you tell me what the fuck you are doing here?"

Though I wasn't exactly sure which of Alexioff's little bitches she was, I was certain that what I was looking at was a vampire in a wolf's clothing.

"I'll tell you nothing." The wolf said with amazing clarity. Its tone was extremely hostile. I could feel James's amazement at how the wolf could talk without having the proper vocal equipment, so to speak.

"Then I guess you'll have to die." James sighed in mock-sadness.

"What are you going to do, float me to death?" The wolf asked.

"Ask her what her name is." I telepathically asked James.

"What do you call yourself?" James asked without skipping a beat.

"Your killer." She snarled.

"Don't get testy with me. Otherwise I rewire your brain so that you think that you are a worm. Or worse, I can make you suicidal." James told her without a hint of bravado to his voice. He was dead serious.

"Fuck you human!"

"Sorry, I'm not into bestiality." James said grimly. "Besides that, you just aren't hot enough. But I can at least fix that!"

James raised his left hand towards her, and she cocked her head and looked at him curiously. She had no idea what he was about to do, but she didn't think that it could be too bad. After all he was only a human. She saw the skin of his upraised hand become red and agitated although he did nothing physically to it. Then, without even a puff of smoke, his hand became engulfed in bright orange flames. Suddenly she began to struggle against her invisible bonds. She hated fire! Some peasants who had used lit torches as weapons had attacked her long ago in her wolf form. It had taken her months to heal all of the damage. Ever since then, she had become deathly afraid of fire. She didn't even like cigarette lighters.

"Do you see this? Start talking, or I'm going to fry your furry ass." James warned.

"What... what do you want to know?" She asked, her voice quaking in fear.

"Who sent you and how many of you are there?" James asked without hesitation.

"General Alexioff sent me, and there are only four of us." She replied quickly.

"Ask her about Lord Kaign's personal guard". I suggested.

"What about Lord Kaign's personal guard? Where are they?" James asked, taking a step closer to her.

"The General sent them home because they screwed up so badly." She responded.

"How did they know where to find Phantom?" James wanted to know.

"Lord Kaign and General Alexioff found him using magic." She replied sounding almost pleasant. "Now why don't you extinguish that hand of yours?"

"You never answered my first question." James told her. "What is your name?" He asked again.

"My name is Anna." She replied.

"It's up to you, Lover. But if I were you, I would fry her ass. She is General Alexioff's best tracker." I told him, still watching through his eyes.

"It's been interesting, Anna. But I'm afraid that you are going to fail the General." James warned her.

He extended his left arm at her, and sent a cone of psychic fire towards the wolf, who began to scream and howl as her fur lit ablaze like dry tinder. James didn't flinch, not even once. He continued to throw his psychic fire at Anna until there was nothing left but a cup of smoldering ash.

"Krimson, I have to warn my family. If the General is tracking me, he might also be tracking them. And they don't have my gifts to defend themselves with." James told me mentally, as he examined the smoldering ash that had once been Anna.

"Alexioff considers himself a master tactician. If he wasn't tracking your family before, he will be now. You have just presented yourself as a viable threat to him and Kaign. Go home and warn your family. But get back to my house as soon as you can. We have some preparations to make. The General will consider this an act of war." I told James before I left his head and returned to my own.
