a rose / the sea

i miss you.
i miss you in a way such only a rose
could understand
should it be seperated from
sun,
earth
and water, all of a
sudden
and for months,
months on end.
i miss you as the ocean;
in floods, waves, gusts;
always changing, growing
in strength;
yet constant;
infinite.

for love
is of the ocean;
constant,
calm,
tranquil,
neverending.
yet, sudden;
stormy; in waves,
torrents,
violent, repetitive tides.
