Chapter 7: Welcome to New York

~The next day~

I woke up to a note saying "I'll see you in LA."

While reading this, I heard little footsteps coming my way.

"He's gone, mommy?" My little angel asked.

"Yeah, he is off to LA. So now we have the whole day to do fun stuff, princess."

She came laying on the bed and said some words under her breath. We cuddled for a good 10 minutes before we got up and made some plans for the day, though we were both really jet lagged we decided to make the best out of today because let's face it, we're not all the time in NYC. We got out of bed and made our way to Kate's room to get her some clothes. She picked out a dark blue skirt with a white shirt that said " Free hugs" and of course some black leggings underneath and her little black boots. I wore my black jeans with an old pinkish knit sweater and my black boots as well. We came to a conclusion to let her hair down after I could absolutely not touch it because it hurts, her hair had been really furry lately and it wasn't fun for her to put it in a certain hairstyle. So we just put some clips in it to prevent it from falling in her face. While Kate was watching some morning cartoons, I was making my purse. I put some candy in it if she gets hungry and our wallets and stuff like that, nothing special.

" Ready kiddo?" I said, trying to get her attention which I failed in, I must say. I walked over to her, threw her over my back and took her out of the door. We were laughing loud for sure, we stopped when we received weird looks from the people who were in the hotel.

"I'm pretty sure this little princes can walk now."

"Nope, non, no." She answered me.

"Young lady, wow haven't forgotten your French yet, that's a good thing." I said while putting her back on the ground. 

"So what do you want to see first." I asked her, she didn't knew a lot about New York. I had already planned some things out, I just wanted to hear her answer.

"Shop till you drop." She shouted really loud, a laugh escaped my mouth and some strangers were smiling as well.

"Well that is not what I planned but we will see, alright darling?" She nodded and she made a gesture for me to hold her hand, which I happily accepted.  We walked out of the hotel and stopped about 5 minutes later in this really small shop with all kinds of handmade candles and soaps. It smelled delicious there, we bought some candles Kate chose and we were gone again. We wander around the streets a little till we went for some lunch, we chose to eat at McDonald's cause Kate had been begging me for McDonald's since we were in Paris. We never really went to McDonald's there because I thought it was crappy, unhealthy food which I still think but I just wanted to give her a favorite. I ordered a happy meal for her and a medium size fries for me cause I knew she wouldn't finish everything. The look on her face when she saw the little gift in the package was just priceless, though it was just a little Hello Kitty toy, she was really happy with it. After we finished our lunch we went on to the Liberty Statue which I was really looking forward to, Kate less cause she was scared of going on the boat, she nor liked. Not in Paris on The Scene nor before Paris.                                                                                                      

The boat ride was just half an hour and an half hour back,

"Mommy, tired." She said on the way back from the statue.

"I see darling, we just have to walk back to the hotel than take a cap and go to the airplane, then we will be home in about 6 hours, you can sleep on in the plane." She looked at me with tired eyes, she wanted to say something but the man from the boat started talking that we arrived back and that we could leave, he also wished us all a nice day further. Instead of walking back, we took a cap as well, she was just so tired and I wasn't in the mood to carry her either, I couldn't feel my feet anymore after all this walking we did today. I hope she like her trip here, she'll appreciate it more when she is older, I am sure. The doorman had already set our bags ready so he basically put them in the trunk and we could sit in the same taxi, we had paid before we left so everything was set.

We got there pretty fast, nothing unusual ate the airport, some fans asked for pictures or for some autographs, we got through security without any problems and were on the plane before we knew it, I had put a movie on for Kate to watch, I knew she wouldn't see the whole movie but she would get sleepy because of it and that would make everything a lot easier and would make the time seem less for her. She fell asleep before the first hour and looked really peaceful. It was going to be a long flight but I couldn't wait to see our friends and family back, we also had to go look for another house. We sold the old one because we would have been longer gone normally. I fell asleep after some minutes and we slept both peacefully till almost the end of the flight, when they came to wake us up and tell us we had to put on our seat belts for the landing.

So I finally updated yeah, 15 votes and 5 comments for a next update. I also want to say that I am really sorry for not updating, I will update more regularly from now on, I pinky promise it guys.
