As Beth was showing me around. My mind was elsewhere thinking about him and all the things he said. I know this thing has an obsession over me and ruling the world. But-

"Violet are you listening?"

"Yes."

"Ok so this is the dining hall and the ball room is around the corner."

We were walking and I saw this empty, dark hallway.

"Beth where does that lead to?"

"Were not allowed over there."

"This is where we have tea in the winter and where we see our families when they visit."

We walked into this large room with mahogany hardwood floor, there is one small table in every corner with an assortment of flowers, a nice large fireplace, there was 10 tables in the room and some couches near the windows and from the windows you could see this beautiful garden with a medium sized pond. I didn't know I was staring at it until Beth approached me.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Beth asked

"Yes, it reminds me of home."

"How, so?"

"Well I live in Oxford and my Ant is a magnificent gardener she does the bouquets for the Queen."

"That is so lovely, have you ever been to one of the balls?"

"No, not yet anyway."

Ring. Ring.

"Time for tea," Beth said.

All the girls gathered into the room with their friends. They were all socializing while I felt like an outsider.

My vision started to become hazy. Only one thing could cause this.

"Hello darling."

I saw his figure approach me how wonderful, I thought.

Very wonderful indeed

Ah, forgot you could hear me

I can hear everything

You're so infuriating

Why thank you I try my best

Why can't you leave me alone Sire

I love coming to see my beautiful flower

Your like the bug that eats and demolish's the flower

I do not think so, more like a bee who comes and pollinates the flower

Can I just continue with my day

Very well carry on

"So, do you have any brothers or sisters?" Beth questioned

"Oh no but how about you?" I asked

"Yes I do 3 brothers all older than me."

"Lucky."

"Not really, they're very irritating sometimes."

"Well it gets quite boring at home."

"Do you have any family out here in London?"

"I don't think, but I have family in Oxford."

"I heard there is a lot of land Like the country-"

I zoned out while she was rambling. I couldn't help but think about how he left so easily. It frightened me to tell you the truth. I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. I started to become extremely hot, thirsty, and itchy. All I remember is Beth asking me if I were okay and while I was being engulfed by darkness.
