Numb. That was all I felt. I blearily opened my eyes. I shifted, the chains clattering. I growled, feeling slowly returning to my body. I tried to stand but the chain around my waist kept me crouched on the ground. I looked around. The room I was in was all white. I could see what was clearly a one way window. Something was wrong. My vision was weird... I looked around the room a few more times. I looked at the chains on me. My wrists, neck, ankles, and waist, had thick metal cuffs with chains. I huffed straining against the cuffs. I looked down at my body. I frowned wanting to be able to stretch out my legs. I twisted my head around to try and tried to get a look at my tail. It was also chained down. I could move it a bit though, that was good. I needed it to be able to escape.
I narrowed my eyes at the window trying to see what was on the other side. I blinked. Nothing. I snarled, and lunged forwards, digging my back claws in. I heard creaking coming from the chains. Snap. I howled in triumph and ran at the window. I lowered my head smashing my horns into the glass. I could hear sirens blaring, but I couldn't care less. I punched the glass completely shattering. I thanked Shad for my claws. I ran, my long animalistic legs pushing me forwards. My tail whipped along behind me. I heard a scream and a howl from a room as I passed. I wanted to help them, I'm not really sure why but I was drawn to them. I slowed looking at the door. I heard guards shouting and my eyes widened.
"CATCH IT!" No. Whoever it was wasn't worth my freedom. Maybe I'll come back for them. I ran faster. I needed to find freedom. Up. I could smell it, the fresh air. I rammed into a wall. Right through here. I punched it. Again. Again. Again. Soon there was a large enough hole for me to get both my claws in it. I pulled, the wall crumbling enough for me to leap out. I raced through the forest hearing bullets whiz past me. I yelped as one grazed past my shoulder. I had to get away. I darted through the trees growling.
The shouts and gunshots faded away and I slowed. I looked around the forest. It was quiet, but not unnaturally silent like the cell. I closed my eyes enjoying the cool breeze. The fresh air was relaxing, I was exhausted. I couldn't sleep yet though. I sighed and sat down starting to try and pry the cuffs off. I managed to get the ones off my waist, ankles, and wrists, but I was having trouble with the one around my waist. I gave up on it for now and turned my attention to the one on my tail. It was relatively easy to get off, at least compared to the other ones. My eyelids dropped, all the running really wore me out. I stretched out on the grass. It was soft and nice, I found it far too easy to fall asleep.
