Later That Night
It was around 12:30 when I made it home. The neighborhood was loud as hell, and it seemed like there was a party just around the corner from my house.
Hmmm. Haven't seen a party in these parts for a couple months now.
I pulled up to the front of my house and sighed as I put the car in park. I wonder whose car this was parked in daddies spot because he surely wasn't home. Maybe it was the neighbor's with the party because there was parking all in the grass too. Guess Ima have to straighten them out.
I got out my car and locked it and pulled my hair up in a ponytail. I walked around the corner to this 'party' and banged on the door, hoping someone would hear me.
Some girl with an attitude answered.
"I don't think you're on the list hun. Goodbye." She said as the door slammed in my face.
Suddenly it opened back up to another girl giggling "I'm soo sorry about that. Milan is an ass sometimes. You should come on in. I'm Valentina Casperoni."
"uhmm that's nice but I just wanted to ask if you could tell your guest not to park in my driveway, I don't think my Dad would like that."
"Just a moment. Michael, Trey! Come move your car, I told yall not to fuckin do that! Shit, I just moved here!"
"Sorry about that. What's your name?"
"Melanie." I replied.
"Sorry Melanie. It's my brother's stupid ass friends."
"No problem." I smiled. "Nice meeting you but I have to get home."
"Okay, same to you."
The door closed and then it opened back up. I quickly walked fast trying to get home when someone grabbed my arm.
"Why you walking soo fast?" A guy asked.
"Don't fuckin touch me!" I yanked my arm and turned around to see Trey smiling.
"Damn, Melanie?"
I giggled embarrassed.
"Trey. What are you doing around here? I thought Samantha lived like 18 miles from here."
"She does, but I don't live with her. She's my dad's ex lady. I mean, I don't live around here, I'm just visiting my friends and what not. I actually live 5 miles from here in another neighborhood."
"Oh." I giggled.
He followed me to my house.
"Next time you should ask permission before getting in Daddy's spot. I'll let you slide this time, just move it as soon as you leave that party." I walked up to the door.
He smiled and walked off blowing me a kiss.
Monday Morning
I was helping Erin clean her room out. She said she was moving away in a couple months and had to get started promptly.
"What am I going to do without you E?" I said packing all her shoes in a big ass box.
"You're gonna live baby. I mean, I won't be gone for long."
I sighed. "You said that in second grade and came back in the fifth!"
"Three years is not a long time."
"It is when I won't have my bestie with me then I'll have to deal with my Dad and his girlfriend, they make me sick!"
"The kind of sick you were when you and Chris..." she looked at me as she caught herself. "My bad."
