In my life something exciting had never happened to me, almost everything was a roulette of common things like normal people;  well that was until that day, once I could go where no one else came back intact and without any scratch.

It all started one October morning, my father, like every day, got up at dawn, just when no one was awake to take advantage of the silence of the morning, well he said so;  However, I remember that dogs always barked at the same time without any meaning, Mom said it was to wake the sleepers, these were small spirits of people who were forgotten and had to adapt a way to never be seen.

When I woke up that morning, I remember that the first thing I did was to see through the window, only the light of the sunrise and some people passing through the streets.  In the distance you could see a bakery and a food store, my mother called to come down quickly.
Upon arriving at the kitchen where my mother was, she saw me strangely saying.

-I see this boy is still sleepy.

-It's too early for me to wake up.  -I replied.

-Go to sleep then, I don't know what you're doing awake. —My mother answered with the usual sweetness.

- You don't know what my father is doing?

-Well, as usual, you know, try to appreciate the morning.

At that moment I went to look for my father, he was sitting on the sofa in a blue sweater, aged like an old and poorly painted chair, holding in his hands a newspaper.

- Son?

—What's up father? -I replied with intrigue.

—Today I read in the newspaper that a great storm is approaching and that you have to be alert.

-I smiled in great disbelief about what he just said.

- Do you still believe the newspapers?  They are very yellowish, you will see that it will be a very short breeze.  I replied with great security.

"I hope so, son."  He smiled.

Without further ado, I went straight to the backyard, an inhospitable place in the morning mist, tried to observe the sky to see if there would be a storm later, but the fog was very dense so I went back into the house.  I saw my father and returned to my room to wait for breakfast.

When I woke up my mother was calling me.

- David, let the food cool down!

I went down and when I reached the kitchen door I felt the smell of scrambled eggs and coffee.

"Now the sleeper is ready to eat."  Said my mother when she saw me.

- Of course!  I replied enthusiastically.

I sat down and started eating without paying attention to anything but my food and how well my mother cooked.

When I arrived at 9, I left the house in search of adventures, well that's what I thought before leaving every day, I started on a small stretch of street and went directly to the bakery.

There worked a woman of good character, quite friendly to whom she greatly appreciated.

"Good morning David, what would you like to buy today?"

"Well, I'm not looking for something special."

"What you're looking for is toast, right?"

-Exactly.  I replied nodding.

"Sure David, now I bring it to you."  He said walking to a door at the bottom of the bakery.

At that moment a short girl comes out;  With a white complexion, with a big smile, green eyes and a very friendly person, she was the daughter of the woman who attended the bakery.

"Hi David, how did you wake up today?"

"There, quite well, and you, how are you?"

"Well, helping my mother, with the cold that the fog brought and with the rain announced by the news there is a great demand for bread."

- What would a rain be without bread and coffee?

"A very sad rain, David."
At that moment his mother appeared approaching me and giving me the bread in my hands in a very delicate way.

- Anything else?

"No thanks, with this I have enough."  I replied paying him.

At that moment the girl smiled at me with a very friendly and positive smile as if I expected her to return the next day.

Without knowing what to do in that situation I decided to go find a friend who lived far away believing that he would arrive if he walked very fast.
After two blocks I was surprised by a very heavy rain and I only had time to run to my house.

When I reached the door of my home I was completely wet, trembling I opened the door and went towards the bathroom that was next to my room.

When leaving the bathroom the only thing that was heard was the rain on the roof.  Seeing through the window you only looked at the rain with too much force, with the size of large rocks and from one moment to another an incandescent light was seen through the window in the distance in the forest whose place had not wanted to go by terror, the  Rain didn't help at all, so I had to wait until it was over to investigate that strange flash out of the forest.

When night came, all I wanted to do was stay in my bed and dream about what that flash in the forest could be.
I fell asleep, I did not notice when none of my parents came home, I just had the desire to decipher that great mystery behind that event.
